Hello, how are you? I hope you have had a brilliant weekend. This weekend has been extremely busy for me which is why I apologise deeply for not being as active on my blog and social media as I usually am. The reason for this is that I have recently moved apartment; from University halls to a shared flat with my partner and others. It has been very busy and pretty tiring, however, the move is finally done. As you can read from the title of this post I will be talking to you about how I have recreated my own study desk from looking at Pinterest for some inspiration.

Prior to moving apartments, I had to have a little look online at some brand new furniture for my study area. I am wanting everything to be matching in the bedroom, including my study space to make it look homely and very aesthetically pleasing. I am very anal about things like that. I managed to find a bed that I really liked and a wardrobe rail which were both shades of greys. From this, it did not take me long to realise that the colour scheme was going to be grey and white; with added colour here and there.

Creating my study area was something that I had imagined for a long time in my mind. I knew exactly how I wanted to look or at least the atmosphere I wanted it to give. To begin with, I went on Pinterest and created a board that was predominantly focusing on my study space and the bedroom to ensure that what I had purchased would look great alongside my study space. The main purpose of doing this was to get some inspiration as to what I wanted in my study area in order for me to love it and want to spend hours on end there. I do think that a study area that you enjoy and love will definitely make your experience there more valuable and worthwhile, especially when having long essays to write and for those times where you have to write blog posts inside. Here are some of the inspirational Pinterest images from my board that I wanted to recreate for my study area:

I have decided to take a little something from each of these images which would enhance my study area and create the ideal perfect study space for me. Here is my recreation of the Pinterest inspired white aesthetic desk design:

I absolutely love the set-up of my desk. I think it is beautiful and has natural lighting being brought in with a lovely view of Winchester town and cathedral. I feel absolutely blessed to have a beautiful view at my study desk and how perfect everything complements each other around me. It is definitely the best study area I could have hoped for. I have myself surrounded by everything that I like to ensure I have a great atmosphere around me. It is a little bit tricky to place things around me as I do not have shelves and unfortunately, I am not allowed to put any up. I have managed to create something simple with limited memes. I am not sure if it is completely finished yet, but I am so happy with what I have created so far.

    1. Thank you so much! Yes me too. The view is beautiful, however, I could not capture it very well. It makes it lovely to sit and write with a great atmosphere. I am so happy you liked the post 🙂 X
