Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. I apologise deeply for not posting for a couple weeks. I have been very busy working and beginning to pursue my passion as a photographer. Last weekend, my partner and I thought it would be a nice idea to go to Marwell Zoo, in Winchester, for the very first time. I have never actually been to a zoo, so this was very interesting yet overwhelming for me at the same time. In this blog post, I will discuss my time there as well as show you the beautiful photographs that I captured. There are many discussions about whether or not zoos are good or bad, in regards to the welfare of the animals and the ideologies that they should be free and not ‘caged’. I am for the idea that animals should have as much freedom as possible and should live a healthy equal life.

Marwell Zoo was actually rather lovely and at the same time, I was thinking whether or not it’s cruel for them to be kept there. I have never been to a Zoo before so this was difficult for me to make a judgement on. I thought the animals seemed happy and had plenty of space to move around, as well as a lot of food and water. I think that zoos are a good idea if the animals are happy, cared for and have plenty of freedom. Every animal that I got to see had a lot of space to move around and were cared for at all times. The staff at Marwell are very compassionate and care about the welfare of the animals. I felt like the money I paid to visit the animals would be well distributed and that would care for the animals. It was really nice to see these animals in real life because I haven’t seen any of them before. Although I have only been to one zoo in my life, I can only talk about this from my own personal experience. Below are some photographs which I managed to capture so that you could see for yourselves the animals I saw.

I hope you enjoyed looking at the photographs I captured from Marwell Zoo. I honestly do not have a problem with this Zoo. It appeared to be well run and that the animals come first which is beautiful. It was so mesmerising to see all these fascinating animals and I hope that should I go to another zoo again, it would be just as equal and compassionate. Thank you so much for heading over to my blog. It does mean a lot to me and I am grateful to everyone who comes on. Don’t forget the have a look at my other blog posts and more importantly my photography pages. The full gallery of Marwell Zoo can be seen here. Don’t forget to comment below of what your opinions are on zoos and whether or not you have been to Marwell. Have a great week!

From,

Bryoni X
