How To Relax After A Long Day?

As you may or may not know, I am a full-time university student who works part-time, as well as trying to build a freelance photography business which can be exhausting on busy days. This is a lot, I KNOW! I do like to keep myself very busy. I love studying, I love working, I love photography, I love exploring and I love to work on new projects.

For a few weeks now, I have been feeling exhausted, literally, every day is starting to feel draining to the point where I have no energy to go to the gym or to do anything that interests me. When I am at the point of being exhausted, my mood drops followed by my motivation. I have been trying to change this and work with the fact that I am exhausted, but at the same time, I still want to do things and more importantly relax – to rest up for the next busy day. Here are my best tips for having a relaxed evening as well as chilling out to prepare you for another busy day.

Go For A Walk

I have noticed that a slow stroll is a perfect way to think about things as well as staying relaxed. If I am worked up, stressed or mad, I usually take myself and my headphones and go for a walk. I think that fresh air is always good for everyone, especially if you work indoors and go home straight away as you will find that probably because of this is why you have no motivation. I would normally go for a walk to town, perhaps to a shop to buy something and treat myself like chocolate or ice cream or I would take a new route to my keep my mind active.

Take A Warm Shower/BathΒ

Yep, this is up there with my things to do. This does sound pretty obvious, but I think that sometimes I forget how much I enjoy a nice hot bath. Usually, I would shower in the morning and evening, however, I think that a nice hot bath, with a bath bomb, is a perfect way to relax. You could even put some music on and light some candles. Doing something like this once in a while is really beneficial because it is a way to treat yourself, as well as do something that you aren’t used to as you will enjoy the moment and hopefully feel relaxed.

Write/Start Something New

One of the best things that I find relaxing is writing, especially blog posts that interest me greatly as it puts me in a good mood. This makes me feel like I have done something productive and beneficial. I find that doing something that interests me in the evening is a great way to unwind, even if it doesn’t turn out great. If you aren’t a blogger then I 100% recommend you to start something new. Whether if that is: starting a blog, writing a story/script, keeping a journal, playing games, drawing or even reading. These are all great for the mind and will make you feel productive which will keep you motivated. Sometimes good things will happen and sometimes they won’t, but you can always go back to them and practise. Personally, I love to edit photographs, play games and write/plan blog posts. By doing all these things, I am keeping my mind active, staying motivated and keeping myself busy.

Watch A DVD Or YouTube Videos

The very last thing I normally do to help with unwinding and to keep me relaxed is by watching a film/TV programme on Netflix or by watching YouTubers. Whichever you prefer is great! I love watching Saffron Barker, Brad Mondo and Mark Ferris which is great because I have plenty of choice and plenty of videos to watch. I would normally put one of these on, especially when I am eating dinner or having a little break from writing and planning blog posts.

These are just some of the things that I love to do and always help me to stay relaxed. Let me know if you already do these things and if they help you. Also, if you are going to give these a try then please let me know how you feel afterwards. Perhaps, I am just a busy bee LOL. I love being productive and doing things at all times because I love to make the most of out my days. I hope you enjoyed reading this little post. If you have any ideas that you would like me to do in the next coming months, please do not hesitate to let me know. Thank you so much for visiting my little blog.
