Photography Is More Than Just A Picture.

To me, photography is more than just a picture. It’s a unique and personal creative piece of art, more importantly, an art which is captured in the present. My love for photography has grown drastically over the past year, after purchasing one of my most valued possessions (a Canon 1300D DSLR camera).

For today’s post, I have decided to share with you the reasons why I love photography and how it inspires me on a daily basis. Photography can be used in many ways, not just for its obvious purpose, to take a photo, but in a way that changes your perception about the world that we live in. Photography changes the way you see things, in the sense of, are we really seeing what we think we are seeing. I’ve had moments of capturing something beautiful and after looking back at it, I’ve realised that what I thought I saw wasn’t actually what I captured in the photograph. It is interesting to see how our eyes can show something completely different to the camera lens.

Photography is about capturing the beauty of life through a lens which is definitely one of my main reasons for pursuing what I love to do. It isn’t until you notice the details in a photograph to see how beautiful the world really is. Moments like these do not last forever and no matter how great we are at remembering these beautiful sights, there are times when we could potentially forget all our treasured memories. This is one of my biggest fears which is why I like to store all of my photographs, not just for personal development, but also as a reminder of the fascinating photographs I’ve taken.

I use photography on a daily basis as a way to express myself and at times to tell a story which is difficult to put into words. You may or may not know, but I love to explore new places and going on adventurous walks to capture different unique photographs. Photography means the absolute world to me. My passion grows and grows every day which is why I love sharing all of my photographs on my social media.

Life is like a camera. Focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if you fail… take another shot.

Why do you love photography?

Bam!💥 Great points Bryoni! I love photography to capture those moments as you say that one may never have again. I have been to parties and get-togethers with friends and looked at an old photo of someone who has changed or in some cases is no longer with us. When it is viewed the memories that follow are like”WOW”😮. Great points all around.🙂👍🏾

I completely agree with you. Photography makes you see the world in another way. Even if you are just looking at a car you think how can I make it look good so you view it from different angles and perhaps get in for a close up on the steering wheel etc. I just wouldn’t look at something that way if it wasn’t for photography.
