Get To Know Me: Photographer Edition.

I am not completely new to blogging, but I have made a lot of changes on this website and as it’s a new year, I thought this was needed. It will be great way for you to get to know me, more specifically, why I am passionate for photography. So, here are a few questions for you to get to know me a little bit and to give you a better picture about myself.

What’s your full name?

Bryoni Roisin Burns

How old are you?

What is your zodiac sign?

Aries. My birthday is April 8th.

Where do you live?

England, Hampshire.

What are 3 things that you love?

Photography. Writing. Drama.

Why did you start photography?

Ever since I was little, I have always had a passion for photography. I remember playing with the instant cameras and I would ask my mum to buy me one, so I could take photographs. I just found it fascinating and I loved the idea of being about to capture a particular moment in time and to be able to treasure it forever. It wasn’t until I was able to purchase my own DSLR Canon Camera that I began to take photography seriously. I have nearly had my camera for a whole year now and I am so proud of myself of how far I’ve come. I am looking forward to pursuing photography and seeing what the future has in store for me.

What camera/lens do you use?

About a year ago, I purchased myself one the best things that I could have ever bought. It was a DSLR Canon 1300D camera. This camera is designed for beginners and hobbyists who are just starting out within the photography industry. This was absolutely perfect for me at the time as I was able to practise and get used to a DSLR camera. In a few months time, sometime in 2019, I would love to purchase the Canon 80D as I absolutely love it. It is an amazing camera and I have had my eyes on it for a few months now. On my 1300D camera, I use an 18mm-55mm lens and a 75mm-300mm lens for the distant shots. I enjoy using both of these lenses and I recommended both of these to anyone who wants to pursue a career in photography.

What inspires you as a photographer?

I love being able to see reactions on the clients face when they see their photographs for the first time. Also, I enjoy reading all the supportive comments on my social media as it inspires me to keep going to pursue what I love doing most.

Hmm… This is so difficult for me as I have loved all the different kinds of shoots I’ve done so far. I suppose I would probably choose weddings as I always enjoy myself whilst I am there. I have only ever done two weddings, so this is probably why. I would love to be given the opportunity to do more weddings so I can get more experience and develop my skills.

Do you edit your photographs? If yes, what do you use?

I am going to be completely honest. Up until a few months ago, I never edited any photoshoots that I would do. I would give the whole collection to the client. I never knew what to use or how to edit photographs. As a self-taught photographer, this was definitely one of my main struggles. When I had the opportunity of photographing my first wedding (as a second shooter), I was advised to practise editing prior to the shoot. I was told that almost every photographer edits their photographs, but also in a way that suits their style. Ever since I was informed about this, I decided to get a couple of editors and experiment with them. I now use DxO and Lightroom on my PC. I am not great at editing, but I do give it a good go. I am hoping to get some more practise in this year as I was do lots and lots of shoots.

There you go, I have just completed the get to know me (photographer edition) question tag. If you have any further questions that you’d like to ask me, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
