Pinterest Inspired: Autumn Fashion.

Yes. It’s true, I’ve been doing it. And it’s getting me even more excited for autumn. For some of you, this post might seem like an absolute shock, but did you know that I’ve been thinking about autumn for over a month now. YES… A whole month! If you are following me on Instagram, then you’ll know how much I am in the autumnal mood. I’m going to be completely honest with you, I’ve had enough of summer and the heat that it brings. I’m ready to dive into my wardrobe and dig out the old autumn favourites.

Pinterest has literally been my best friend over the past few weeks. I’ve been using it more than I ever have and I completely understand why some people just can’t get enough of it. I absolutely love it! It is definitely one of my favourite apps to use and as a blogger, I suggest that you start using it now. You will love it too! It’s an amazing app which allows you to save photos (pins), from the internet, into your specific boards (folder). This is just the perfect way for me to organise everything that interests me or helps me to achieve the things that I want to, as well as get some inspiration, especially as autumn is on its way here.

I have decided to treat myself to a well-needed shopping trip to get prepared for the autumn season turning any minute. I have been looking at the autumn clothing that has been launched on fashion websites such as, Primark, New Look, Shein, Boohoo and many many more to get an idea of the sort of clothes I want to Purchase. I love shopping for clothes this time of year as it’s the type of clothing that interests me the most. I love the autumnal colours such as mustard, orange, green and burgundy. I am hoping that I can find similar clothes to the ones I have pinned in my Autumn Fashion Board. This is an idea of what I would like to wear this autumn. I am looking forward to creating similar looks to these.

What are you planning to wear this autumn? Have you got some inspiration?

A Couple Of Thoughts On Transitional Dressing.

It’s that time of the year when the weather is finding it difficult what season it’s trying to be which makes it hard for us trying to plan our outfits to suit each day. Lately, the weather has been trying to get rid of the summer days by bringing us a lot of random showers and cooler days. I actually prefer the cooler days with a breeze as I’ve started to get a bit fed up of the hot weather. The transition from summer to autumn is my favourite time of year as you can still wear the same clothes, however,  you might just have to add a cardigan or jeans with a summer top or perhaps some tights with a skirt.

I cannot tell you enough how much I love this season as it means I get to wear more of my clothes and layer up with knitwear which I LOVE!!! As you may or may not know, I love wearing stripes, preferably blue and white with something that’s denim. In the summer I often wore my denim dungaree dress, but as we are heading into autumn I thought I would match my striped top with some oversized high waisted ripped denim jeans. If you follow me on Instagram, you will be aware that this is my signature look. I have decided to show a little appreciation to this by dedicating a whole post to my favourite look at the moment. So here goes…

Swanbourne Off Shoulder Top (Jack Wills) £15.00

I purchased this cute little off the shoulder crop top in the sale from Jack Wills. I really like the fit and how it stays in place when you move around. I got this in a size 6 which is why it’s slightly shorter by showing a little bit of my belly, however, I kind of like it like that as it shows off my figure. The stripes on this are soooooo pretty which adds to the cuteness. You can also purchase this in red and white.

High Waisted Denim Ripped Jeans (New Look) £27.99

A pair of highly recommended denim jeans that can be worn all year round. These high waisted jeans are perfect and definitely worth the price advertised. I have had my jeans for a few months now and I just think they are brilliant. You can’t go wrong with a pair of ripped jeans. It spices up your look instead of just having a simple straight down pair of jeans with no texture. These ones are actually cropped with a choppy ripped bottom which is why I have rolled mine up twice. I often do this on my clothes as I think it looks better. It is completely up to you how you’d like to wear yours.

By matching this cute striped crop top with a pair of high waisted ripped skinny jeans you are clearly making your fashion statement of the definite change between the summer and autumn seasons.

I love the transition between the summer and autumn seasons as the weather becomes a perfect temperature. This simple look can be recreated in many ways depending on your fashion styles. However, something similar to these items will be perfect for this time of year, especially with how indecisive the weather is at the moment.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it. What is your favourite fashion look to wear during these seasons?

The Go-To Smart/Casual Outfit.

Oh hey! So, I recently have been doing a lot of presentational assignments for my university degree and thought what a great idea to share with you my go-to smart/casual outfit. I really like wearing this little combination as it looks very sophisticated, as well as casual at the same time. It is perfect for presentations as well as interviews because it looks smart but not over the top. It is very subtle and perfectly designed for anyone studying degrees or in the similar age group to me.

This outfit consists of very few basic items which can most likely be found in any retail store or at the bottom of your wardrobe. This whole outfit is from New Look!!! When it comes to shopping, I am a bit of a New Look nerd. A majority of everything I own is a New Look number. I just love their style as its right up my street and I find that their sizes work wonders on me.

I am very fond of this little outfit. I am looking forward to more presentational talks or assignments as I am able to put this together easily without stressing. I absolutely love wearing casual blazers as they are stylish and age appropriate. Although, an alternative to the outfit is perhaps some smart tailored trousers with either flat shoes or small boots. This can be re-arranged a number of ways. You should definitely try this out and let me know how you got on. I am intrigued what you would wear, especially if you don’t want to go over the top or too far out of your comfort zone. I definitely need to be more adventurous when picking out outfits for uni and interviews as I tend to wear the same clothes.
