The Best Photo Spots In Barcelona: The Most Instagrammable Locations In Barcelona.

Going on holiday is the perfect reason to get some of those desirable travel/holiday Instagram photos. You know the kind of photos I mean. I recently just go back from Barcelona and of course, I just jumped on the opportunity to capture some ‘Instagram photos’ that I thought would look great on my feed. Just like any other city, most of the great spots are the ones popular by tourists.

This blog post will mainly consist of photographs, followed by the exact location so that you too can find these great spots. I think the photographs speak for themselves. I know everyone’s idea of ‘Instagrammable Spots’ is going to be different, but these are just mine. I’m sure you can capture your desire photographs here too.

Here are some of my favorite spots:

La Rambla

La Rambla is one of the most popular streets in central Barcelona. It is a tree-lined pedestrian street that is filled with many many shops, including retail, food, tattoo places, and basically everything!

The photographs of myself are taken at the end of La Rambla, closest to the beach. I found this road and fell in love with the composition of the trees. I just loved this spot and thought it would be perfect for my Instagram. The photograph of the Ice Cream is taken down the middle of La Rambla. I found an Ice Cream Shop, and just took the photo as soon as I stepped outside. I have to be quick of course before it melted.

Parc de Montjuic

Parc de Montjuic is a massive piece of land that is filled with green lands, including hills and lots of beautiful tourist spots. It took us around 3 hours to walk and down the whole park, although the views made it worth it.

I absolutely LOVE these trees. They are pretty much everywhere in Barcelona. As soon as I would see one, I would grab the camera and get a quick snap!

The Magic Fountain

The Magic Fountain was the highlight of my whole experience of going to Barcelona. The area around The Magic Fountain is just beautiful and it really is just mesmerizing. You would definitely get some great photographs at night during The Magic Fountain light show. Unfortunately, I did not take my camera with me, so I didn’t get any ‘Instagrammable’ photos of it at night.

Sagrada Familia

Sagrada Familia is a large unfinished Roman Catholic minor basilica in Barcelona. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions that offers an opportunity to view the inside. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get our hands-on tickets so, we just took some great photos from the outside. I know that the inside is just as beautiful and you can get some amazing photographs on the inside, so if you get the chance to, then please do that. You can see in the last photo how busy the place really is. Although is you follow the path round to the other side of the pond, you can get a really good spot with no one in the background.

Barcelona Cathedral

Barcelona Cathedral is located near to La Rambla and is the Gothic cathedral and the seat of the Archbishop of Barcelona. We found this just randomly on one of our walks to a museum and I am so glad we did because it is just absolutely stunning.

AD | Green People Organic Lifestyle Sun Care.

For those of who you don’t know, I have just got back from the beautiful sunny Barcelona and this is just everything that I needed.  This post is in collaboration with Green People.

**All criticism is my own and I can hands down say that I am being 100% honest when talking about these products**

What Is Green People?

Green People is an organic beauty brand with quality at heart since 2002. Green People’s passion for natural and organic skincare is based on the concept of ‘Phyto Science’ – plant performance without compromise.

Green People offers high-performance products and believes that nature and science go hand in hand. Green People organic skincare products restore and balance the skin and hair’s natural moisture levels with amazing skin feel, whilst also caring about environmental issues and sustainability.

All of their products are vegan and 100% cruelty-free. As well as that, 10% of net profit is donated to charity.

What Products Will I Be Reviewing?

I was lucky enough to receive two full-size bottles from the Green People’s sun care range. One being the EDELWEISS SUN LOTION which is a NATURAL TAN ACCELERATOR and the SCENT FREE SUN LOTION which is REEF SAFE OCEAN-FRIENDLY.

img_4060

The Scent Free Sun Lotion is reef safe, ocean-friendly, non-irritating, non-greasy, 84% organic, and water repellent with an SPF of 30 high. This sun cream is perfect for sensitive skin and is UVB and UVA protected, just like the other one. It is designed to care for sensitive skin and is naturally free from synthetic fragrance and essential oils. This bottle is priced at £22.50.

I only used this suncare lotion on day 1 of my 5-day holiday. This isn’t because it was bad in any way, I just preferred using the natural tan accelerator as I wanted to get an even glow. I thought this one slightly more liquidized which rubbed in smoother and more evenly than the other one. It is 100% scent-free as I cannot smell any scent. If I had to describe a smell, I would describe it as a similar smell to dermal cream. It is still fresh but in a different way. I would recommend using this one if you are exposed to the sun a lot or are spending days directly in the heat, in a pool, or sunbathing. It has a relatively high SPF and would protect those areas which needed it most. I put some of this one on my forehead, shoulders, and elbows as those are the places which get burnt fastest usually, and also, I have eczema on my elbows, and this helped it a lot.

The Natural Tan Accelerator is non-irritating, non-greasy, 86% organic, and water repellent. It has an SPF of 15 medium and is perfect for sensitive skin. It has UVA and UVB, also known as aging and burning protection. This natural tan accelerator speeds up the tanning process by 25% and reduces fading by 50%. This bottle is priced at £21.50.

I absolutely loved using this product and out of the two, this one is my favorite. I found it was very hydrating, non-sticky, and enhanced a natural-looking tan. I LOVE the smell of this sun cream as it smells so fresh, almost like flowers which I like. I used this one 4/5 days of my holiday and I do believe that even know I had sun cream on, I still managed to get an even coverage of a tan. It did not leave any stains on my clothing, and I applied this approximately 3 times a day. More importantly, when I got out of the pool. I can now say hand on my heart that I will be using this self-tanning sun care in the future.

10 Tips For Visiting Disney Land Paris.

As you have probably seen from the overload of photographs on my Instagram story and feed – I have recently just got back from a little visit to Disney Land Paris.

IMG_6470

I had the most amazing Easter bank holiday in one of the most magical places in the world and I am forever grateful. I have decided to do this post to give tips and advice to those of you who are considering taking a visit to Disney Land, whether if it’s for a couple of days or even a week. Some of these are probably obvious, but I think it is crucial that they are mentioned considering it made my stay stress-free.

Tickets/Disney Pass

I 100% recommend booking your tickets way in advance, not only to save time in the queues but also because you can get deals to save on the prices too. Personally, I think that 2-3 days in the park is by far enough time. It obviously depends on how old everyone is, as you will not want to go on every ride, especially if you’re a 22 year old like me. It is the exact same for younger children as they might not be tall enough for the bigger rides. Therefore, it is a good idea to do some research so you only book the number of days that you actually need.

Pack a bag

It is very important to know that you are allowed to take bags in with you, even on the rides. A standard rucksack would be ideal. I recommend packing a bag with plenty of snacks, and anything you think you will need for the duration of the day – including sun cream. Your bag will get searched/scanned at the entrance, but this is the rules for all. The prices for food and drinks at Disney Land is extortionate like you wouldn’t even believe me. You can expect to pay at least 4 euros for singular ice cream, 4 euros for a small bottle of coke, meals (such as small macaroni cheese, bottled water, apple, and crisps) will be around 15 euros – and they’re not even worth it! I 100% recommend packing a sandwich or at least only eating out at Disney Land once a day – unless you can afford it of course.

But not too much…

I know, I know – I am contradicting what I just said, but you’ll thank me when you’re there. Only pack with you the things you will actually need. You will have to carry this bag with you for the whole day and whilst queuing up for rides for up to 2 hours long. When I went to Disney Land, I took with me a reasonable size bag on the first day with lots of snacks, a jacket, and my camera equipment. To be honest, I should have estimated how much I was going to eat, as well as checking the weather app as I did not need as much food or a jacket because the weather was LOVELY! If you are going for a few days, I would spend one day going on a few rides, explore the parks, and take all the fancy photos. Then, the rest of the days I wouldn’t take your camera equipment as you will have all the desired shots.

Take an empty water bottle

DO NOT BUY WATER BOTTLES! If you take your own water bottle or any drink bottle for that matter then you can simply just fill your bottle up with FREE water from their fountains. The water fountains are located outside every single toilet. It is much better to do this as it is completely free, saves the environment (less plastic), and could save you a lot of money as their drinks range from 3-6 euros – even for water!

Wear sensible clothing

Whilst dressing cute and all appropriate for the weather is a priority. It is always important to think about the activities and the duration of the day. On the first day, I arrived at the park at around 09:30 and didn’t leave until 23:00. As you can probably tell, this was not intended and we only stayed to watch the Disney Illuminations, which by the way is fantastic. It starts at around 22:00 and because my accommodation was around 30 minutes away, it was better off just exploring the park for the whole day. It is important to dress accordingly to the rides you are going on, any activities, as well as weather changes, and perhaps extra or spare clothes. Personally, I recommend covering up, especially if it is hot as I found it uncomfortable sitting on the rides with my skin touching them. To be honest, just wear what you feel most comfortable in!

Stay locally

Although staying at the Disney Land resorts can be expensive, I would definitely try and consider paying to stay at one. I stayed at the Villages Nature which is an alternative to Center Parcs. The accommodation was absolutely incredible and I loved it so much – there will be a review post very soon. But, it started to become quite pricey as we had to pay for the bus every time we went to Disney Land and travelled back home again. This wasn’t very much of a problem as it was approximately a 20 minutes bus journey. If you can stay as close as possible, then definitely do. There is nothing worse than getting a bus very late at night or in the beautiful sunshine.

Plan your route around the park

I 100% recommend that you download the Disney Land Paris app before you travel. You will be able to see the maps of both parks, find your way around, know the waiting times for rides, as well as find out about any events or activities happening during your stay. I found this very useful, especially whilst planning what to get done on both of the days I was there for. This is the best way to get the most out of your holiday.

Buy Disney merchandise

Without a doubt, you should head over to some common retail shops to buy some Disney outfits, pajamas, accessories, and anything that you think you would actually use. You can see what I bought here. Fortunately, I already owned the classic Minnie Mouse ears from my last visit 5 years ago, so I took these with me. I also took a mickey house t-shirt, make-up bag, shopper bag, and night-dress. I wanted to be full on Disney-fied! It is so much cheaper to purchase some Disney items before you travel, as I can guarantee you will be tempted to spend hundreds on merchandise. Personally, I could not afford to buy an outfit from Disney Land, barely enough for the ears, so if you want to be a part of all the fun and dress up for less, then do that!

Be prepare to SPEND SPEND SPEND! I have never travelled to anywhere as expensive as Disney Land Paris – even for a small bottle of diet coke I was surprised.
