The Best Photo Spots In Barcelona: The Most Instagrammable Locations In Barcelona.

Going on holiday is the perfect reason to get some of those desirable travel/holiday Instagram photos. You know the kind of photos I mean. I recently just go back from Barcelona and of course, I just jumped on the opportunity to capture some ‘Instagram photos’ that I thought would look great on my feed. Just like any other city, most of the great spots are the ones popular by tourists.

This blog post will mainly consist of photographs, followed by the exact location so that you too can find these great spots. I think the photographs speak for themselves. I know everyone’s idea of ‘Instagrammable Spots’ is going to be different, but these are just mine. I’m sure you can capture your desire photographs here too.

Here are some of my favorite spots:

La Rambla

La Rambla is one of the most popular streets in central Barcelona. It is a tree-lined pedestrian street that is filled with many many shops, including retail, food, tattoo places, and basically everything!

The photographs of myself are taken at the end of La Rambla, closest to the beach. I found this road and fell in love with the composition of the trees. I just loved this spot and thought it would be perfect for my Instagram. The photograph of the Ice Cream is taken down the middle of La Rambla. I found an Ice Cream Shop, and just took the photo as soon as I stepped outside. I have to be quick of course before it melted.

Parc de Montjuic

Parc de Montjuic is a massive piece of land that is filled with green lands, including hills and lots of beautiful tourist spots. It took us around 3 hours to walk and down the whole park, although the views made it worth it.

I absolutely LOVE these trees. They are pretty much everywhere in Barcelona. As soon as I would see one, I would grab the camera and get a quick snap!

The Magic Fountain

The Magic Fountain was the highlight of my whole experience of going to Barcelona. The area around The Magic Fountain is just beautiful and it really is just mesmerizing. You would definitely get some great photographs at night during The Magic Fountain light show. Unfortunately, I did not take my camera with me, so I didn’t get any ‘Instagrammable’ photos of it at night.

Sagrada Familia

Sagrada Familia is a large unfinished Roman Catholic minor basilica in Barcelona. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions that offers an opportunity to view the inside. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get our hands-on tickets so, we just took some great photos from the outside. I know that the inside is just as beautiful and you can get some amazing photographs on the inside, so if you get the chance to, then please do that. You can see in the last photo how busy the place really is. Although is you follow the path round to the other side of the pond, you can get a really good spot with no one in the background.

Barcelona Cathedral

Barcelona Cathedral is located near to La Rambla and is the Gothic cathedral and the seat of the Archbishop of Barcelona. We found this just randomly on one of our walks to a museum and I am so glad we did because it is just absolutely stunning.

Staying At The Airport Inn (Gatwick) For One Night.

Just a heads up, this post will consist of very few images and mainly of my opinions which I think are appropriate for this post.

As I am sure many of you know, I recently went on a little vacation to Barcelona, Spain. Prior to getting our flight, we decided to stay at a close-by hotel for the night as our flight was early morning. And by early, I mean we had to get to the airport at 04:50am.

We went to Airport Inn (Gatwick) on Sunday 28th July 2019 at around 19:00pm. The good thing about this hotel is that it is very easy to travel to and from the airport and/or train station. We just had to hop on a bus which took you straight to the hotel and then hop on the bus in the morning which takes you back to the airport. There is a bus approximately every 20 minutes, so it is very convenient even if you miss the bus. The price of the bus is £2.50 per ride, so was £5.00 per person to and from.

What Did The Accommodation Look Like?

These photos are taken from Booking.com.

The hotel itself and the rooms looked exactly like the photographs provided on Booking.com. It was clear to us that we would only be getting a room and a bathroom/toilet room. The only difference was that we didn’t have the blue and/or red runner across the bottom of the beds. Other than that, it was everything that we had expected it to be.

For this trip, there was 5 of us in total, including me, Kevin, Tiff, Aaron, and Charlie. I booked this on Booking.com and to be honest it was so quick and easy to make a reservation. I originally booked a double room and a triple room. This was because we wanted a double bed, and then 3 single beds in the triple room. When I was making this reservation, I can confirm that the pictures and what appeared on my screen were exactly that. However, when we got to the hotel, they had changed the arrangement. We ended up getting 2 double rooms which had a double bed and a single bed in each one. We weren’t at all too bothered about this, but it was a little bit annoying because it wasn’t what we had expected and for that reason, we had to change the sleeping arrangement.

The prices for the rooms were at a very good price. The double room was £67.00, and the triple room was £87.00.

Would I Ever Recommend This Hotel?

100% YES!

The staff were incredibly friendly and were very helpful, especially when I was asking a lot of questions about what I had to do. It had multiple smoking areas, one being near the reception and the other outside in a little garden with plenty of tables and chairs. I really liked the idea of having it near a petrol station as I was able to go there in less than an minute to get some snacks and drinks for the duration of the stay, as well as for the flight the next morning.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay near Gatwick Airport and I would 100% stay here myself again. It was very much worth the money we paid.

What a month this is going to be!!!

I apologise for not posting weekly like I said I would.

I am writing this post primarily to tell you about all the wonderful things I have been up to, and all the things that I am looking forward to.

What you’ve missed?

You may or may not know, but I have finished my second year of university. I am so happy to be announcing this as it has been a big struggle for me, especially achieving the grades that I have been pushing for. I have finished first and the second year scrapping a 2:1 so I am proud of myself. I just keep saying to myself – It’s just one more year, and it will all be worth it! I will be doing a little Instagram poll soon as I want to create a YouTube video answering all of your questions about uni, adult life, and any questions you may have. So, comment a question or direct message me personally and I will add it to the list for you.

I have also been photographing a lot more. I managed to be the leading photographer of a wedding, as well as a few uni events – including summer ball 2019 with the special guest SIGALA. These past few months have been incredible. I have learnt so much and I think I have found a photography specialism which I would like to develop further. I absolutely love creating unique photo albums for all clients to treasure for eternity.

Recently, you would have seen, probably definitely you have seen if you follow me on social media or keep up with my blog posts. I wrote a post about creating a new YouTube channel that I would actually like to keep up and running, especially alongside my blog to help show in detail some of the posts that I am writing about. I mainly create content based on ASMR, lifestyle, and travel. Again, if you have any suggestion, please let me know.

What’s to come?

So, here’s to the best part… WHAT I AM LOOKING FORWARD TOOOO!!

This month is going to be filled with a lot of happiness. I am hoping to start a new job that is the same as what I am doing now, although it is higher up in the industry which will be great for my CV. I have been really focusing on things that I can do for experience. I have one year left at uni and I am so indecisive about what I want to do after.

I have been considering going travelling next June for around 2-3 months, if not longer. I have been thinking about going travelling for some time now. And, I am at the point in my life where I am worried that if I don’t do it now, then I probably won’t do it ever. I don’t want to regret not going as it is something I have always wanted to do. Of course, I would be able to go on holidays, but there is something about travelling solidly that I want to do. On my list so far, I have decided to go to Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Sydney, Melbourne, and New Zealand. I am sure the list will definitely get longer, but that is it for now. If you have any suggestions or advice on anything at all about travelling, please please let me know as I will appreciate it greatly.

I will also be going on holiday at the end of this month to BARCELONA. I am extremely excited – to the point where I am thinking about packing my case already. I will be going there for 5 days with a group of friends. It is actually the same group of friends from when I went to Budapest last year. We have so much planned, and of course, I have planned and thought out the whole thing AGAIN! I just want this holiday to be perfect, and I want everyone to have a great time. I think I am going to be vlogging my time away. Although, I am not sure how I am going to do it. I don’t know if I want to do daily vlogs or to just do a new vlog every other day or so. I suppose it will be down to how much footage I actually manage to film.

And lastly, I have a few brands who I will be working with this month. I do want to keep it a surprise, but I thought I would give you the warning. These won’t be revealed for a few weeks yet, as things are still being discussed. I am very excited to be working alongside these businesses and I feel happy to have accepted their products to review for you. As I have said before, I will only work with the brands who I trust and support, and if I haven’t used them before, then I will give an honest review.

That’s all for today. This post is just a casual one to let you know about what is going on in the life of Bryoni. But yeah, if you have any advice or suggestions for anything that I have spoken about, then please please please drop me a comment.

Thank you.

The Body Shop Blogger Event June 2019 | #tbswinchester #plasticwithbottles #gifted

I had a wonderful time at The Body Shop Blogger Event this evening at the Winchester store (#tbswinchester #plasticwithbottles). I was kindly welcomed by the staff (Sian and Georgio) and introduced to the brand. We were provided with beverages from Whittard and some cakes and crisps which were a thoughtful thing to do.

I enjoyed hearing about the 3 new products (Coffee Face Mask, Banana Body Yoghurt, and Ginger Shower Gel). As well as that, I was informed about the incredible projects The Body Shop are trying out which includes using already made plastics and re-using them and using the fruit and veg that are unwanted.

In addition, The Body Shop has introduced a new scheme that involves customers/anyone to recycle their finished bottles, which can be anything except perfume bottles. If customers bring back 5 used bottles they will be rewarded with a free £5 to spend voucher in The Body Shop which is just amazing. Not only all of this, But The Body Shop in Winchester are also working with Winchester Basic Banks to encourage customers and staff to bring in any unused products, foods, drinks, clothes, etc. anything you can to help those who need it most. I thought this was just absolutely wonderful and I am looking forward to contributing anything that I can to help.

After this, we were able to try out any products that we wanted, ask for samples and any advice followed by making a purchase if we wanted with 25% off. As you all know, I LOVE The Body Shop so much so there was a lot in my basket. Surprisingly, I only purchased 6 items which were: The Camomile Eye Make-Up Remover £7.50, Vitamin E Hydrating Toner £8.00, Setting Spray for Make-Up £8.00, Nail File £2.50, Cotton Pads £2.50, and a Coconut Hand Gel £2.50. The grand total of this was only £23.25. I saved a total of £7.75 which is fantastic. A majority of what I purchased is just a top-up, although the nail file and coconut hand gel are a first for me to try. I have previously written about my Skin Care Routine which can be found here.

Here is a photo of everything that I purchased:

As if that isn’t enough, once I had finished paying I was automatically given a GOODY BAG #gifted by The Body Shop and put into an Instagram lucky dip which will be revealed next week. We also played a couple of games where we had to pick out a smiley face out of a bag in order to win a face mask of your choice. I absolutely loved this and guess what I WON! I even had to guess the name of an animal in a photo, I picked WALLIS – SO LET’S HOPE I WIN AT THAT TOO! That is pretty much what happened tonight at The Body Shop Blogger Event in Winchester. I had a lovely time, learned so much about the products, and I can’t wait to give everything a try in the next few weeks.

Here is everything that I was #gifted inside the GOODY BAG:

Thank you so much for all of these amazing products, I am so grateful for everything and I had a wonderful evening.

Here is my latest YouTube video telling you all about the products (in the style of ASMR):

MY SUMMER EVERYDAY MAKE-UP ROUTINE.

I have something amazing to share with you and I think you are all going to love it. I have been getting messages recently from a few of you asking for a make-up routine, more specifically the make-up routine that I am using on a daily basis.

I have decided to create a video, primarily to complement the process so you can see a step-by-step guide of what I am doing. I have also included the Q&A polls from my Instagram and Twitter, so if you asked a question then it will be answered in the video. In addition, I have added in some FUN FACTS, along with a little chat. All of the products I have used can be found in the video itself, plus I will tag them below and they will also be tagged in the description box of the video too.

What products have I used?

  1. Moisturiser
  2. Foundation
  3. Contour set
  4. Eye-brow kit
  5. Setting Spray
  6. Face Mist
  7. Mascara

This is a very easy, simple, and fresh make-up look which I wear a majority of the time. I am not the best at make-up, so this works wonders for me. I prefer having my make-up quite subtle, and this feels amazing on the skin as it isn’t too heavy. This is definitely a look that I will be wearing for many times to come or a look that I will use as a basis for all looks.

Check out the video and let me know what you think in the comments:

Thank you so so much for checking out this blog post and I hope that you enjoyed the little video I have created for you. If you would like me to do any particular blog post/youtube video, please comment them below and I will add it to my list.
