Staying At Villages Nature In Paris.

Just a heads up, this post will mainly consist of photographs as I think they speak well for themselves…

As you are all completely aware, I went to Disney Land Paris with Kevin and his family a couple of weeks ago. This accommodation was booked by Kevin’s parents which is the NEW resort introduced by Center Parcs, known as Villages Nature Paris. We stayed in this beautiful resort for 3 nights, whilst we visited Disney Land for two days – see post here. The dates of travel were Saturday 20 April 2019 – Tuesday 24 April 2019. This resort is in partnership with Disney Land Paris and is one of their recommended accommodations. The good thing was that we were able to collect our park tickets at the reception here at Villages Nature and hop on the number 47 bus which took us to Disney Land for 2 euros.

What Did The Accommodation Look Like?

Our accommodation was absolutely beautiful! We had a 3 bedroom apartment that was designed for 6 people. This worked out well as there was 5 of us, so we had no issues there. There was one bedroom upstairs with two single beds, as well as a second bathroom. Then, downstairs had a king size bed which led to the other bathroom and jacuzzi. The final double bed was in the lounge area. I absolutely loved the layout of the apartment and I thought it was very spacious considering there was 5 of us. My favorite part was, of course, the jacuzzi and the balcony with the most incredible view. I have never stayed somewhere with a jacuzzi, nor somewhere with an incredible view like this before. I was very surprised to have been given towels, dressing gowns, and slippers which are complementary to all guests. I loved the whole atmosphere and the vibe this apartment gave. I cannot fault it at all…I mean it’s PERFECT!

What Activities Can You Do?

There are many activities that you can do at the Villages Nature Paris resort, such as:

  • Bowling
  • Swimming
  • Golf
  • Bike Riding
  • Karaoke Nights
  • Arcade
  • Farm

A majority of these activities are free, although there are some which you do need to pay for. I think the prices are reasonable considering it is a popular tourist resort. During our stay there, we went to the farm, bike riding, arcade, and swimming pool which was so much fun. There are many pools indoors and outdoors with floats, slides, and many things for you to do in there. I had so much fun in this swimming pool and I 100% can recommend it. In my opinion, I think that it was a little over-whelming staying in a resort like this with so much to do, but then having to leave to go to the Disney Land resort. There are so many activities to do in Villages Nature, so if you’re visiting for a week – I would 100% recommend, purely because you can spend two days in Disney Land, and then explore the beautiful Villages Nature resort – which is totally worth it!

Tips & Advise

  1. If you are staying in a similar apartment that I stayed in, then I would suggest that you either bring your own snacks and food or purchase food from the Supermarket on site. The reason for this is that the food restaurants on site are extremely expensive. I had small macaroni cheese and diet coke for £15 which is just way too much. If you can afford to eat out every night then that is up to you. I would recommend eating out one of the nights, and then make your dinner for the other nights. In our apartment, we had a fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, and cutlery, etc., so you have everything you’ll need in that area.
  2. For the dates that you are traveling, I think it would be wise to check what times the buses run from Villages Nature to Disney Land. On our way there, we got lucky as it arrived when we got there, but the second time, we had to wait around 30 minutes for the bus. There is a timetable of what times they arrive, so double check it so you aren’t wasting time just hanging around.

I hope you enjoyed this little accommodation review. If you would like to see more of these on my blog, then please let me know. Also, if you are considering visiting this resort and you have any bursting questions, do not hesitate to get in touch.

Have a great week!

10 Tips For Visiting Disney Land Paris.

As you have probably seen from the overload of photographs on my Instagram story and feed – I have recently just got back from a little visit to Disney Land Paris.

I had the most amazing Easter bank holiday in one of the most magical places in the world and I am forever grateful. I have decided to do this post to give tips and advice to those of you who are considering taking a visit to Disney Land, whether if it’s for a couple of days or even a week. Some of these are probably obvious, but I think it is crucial that they are mentioned considering it made my stay stress-free.

Tickets/Disney Pass

I 100% recommend booking your tickets way in advance, not only to save time in the queues but also because you can get deals to save on the prices too. Personally, I think that 2-3 days in the park is by far enough time. It obviously depends on how old everyone is, as you will not want to go on every ride, especially if you’re a 22 year old like me. It is the exact same for younger children as they might not be tall enough for the bigger rides. Therefore, it is a good idea to do some research so you only book the number of days that you actually need.

Pack a bag

It is very important to know that you are allowed to take bags in with you, even on the rides. A standard rucksack would be ideal. I recommend packing a bag with plenty of snacks, and anything you think you will need for the duration of the day – including sun cream. Your bag will get searched/scanned at the entrance, but this is the rules for all. The prices for food and drinks at Disney Land is extortionate like you wouldn’t even believe me. You can expect to pay at least 4 euros for singular ice cream, 4 euros for a small bottle of coke, meals (such as small macaroni cheese, bottled water, apple, and crisps) will be around 15 euros – and they’re not even worth it! I 100% recommend packing a sandwich or at least only eating out at Disney Land once a day – unless you can afford it of course.

But not too much…

I know, I know – I am contradicting what I just said, but you’ll thank me when you’re there. Only pack with you the things you will actually need. You will have to carry this bag with you for the whole day and whilst queuing up for rides for up to 2 hours long. When I went to Disney Land, I took with me a reasonable size bag on the first day with lots of snacks, a jacket, and my camera equipment. To be honest, I should have estimated how much I was going to eat, as well as checking the weather app as I did not need as much food or a jacket because the weather was LOVELY! If you are going for a few days, I would spend one day going on a few rides, explore the parks, and take all the fancy photos. Then, the rest of the days I wouldn’t take your camera equipment as you will have all the desired shots.

Take an empty water bottle

DO NOT BUY WATER BOTTLES! If you take your own water bottle or any drink bottle for that matter then you can simply just fill your bottle up with FREE water from their fountains. The water fountains are located outside every single toilet. It is much better to do this as it is completely free, saves the environment (less plastic), and could save you a lot of money as their drinks range from 3-6 euros – even for water!

Wear sensible clothing

Whilst dressing cute and all appropriate for the weather is a priority. It is always important to think about the activities and the duration of the day. On the first day, I arrived at the park at around 09:30 and didn’t leave until 23:00. As you can probably tell, this was not intended and we only stayed to watch the Disney Illuminations, which by the way is fantastic. It starts at around 22:00 and because my accommodation was around 30 minutes away, it was better off just exploring the park for the whole day. It is important to dress accordingly to the rides you are going on, any activities, as well as weather changes, and perhaps extra or spare clothes. Personally, I recommend covering up, especially if it is hot as I found it uncomfortable sitting on the rides with my skin touching them. To be honest, just wear what you feel most comfortable in!

Stay locally

Although staying at the Disney Land resorts can be expensive, I would definitely try and consider paying to stay at one. I stayed at the Villages Nature which is an alternative to Center Parcs. The accommodation was absolutely incredible and I loved it so much – there will be a review post very soon. But, it started to become quite pricey as we had to pay for the bus every time we went to Disney Land and travelled back home again. This wasn’t very much of a problem as it was approximately a 20 minutes bus journey. If you can stay as close as possible, then definitely do. There is nothing worse than getting a bus very late at night or in the beautiful sunshine.

Plan your route around the park

I 100% recommend that you download the Disney Land Paris app before you travel. You will be able to see the maps of both parks, find your way around, know the waiting times for rides, as well as find out about any events or activities happening during your stay. I found this very useful, especially whilst planning what to get done on both of the days I was there for. This is the best way to get the most out of your holiday.

Buy Disney merchandise

Without a doubt, you should head over to some common retail shops to buy some Disney outfits, pajamas, accessories, and anything that you think you would actually use. You can see what I bought here. Fortunately, I already owned the classic Minnie Mouse ears from my last visit 5 years ago, so I took these with me. I also took a mickey house t-shirt, make-up bag, shopper bag, and night-dress. I wanted to be full on Disney-fied! It is so much cheaper to purchase some Disney items before you travel, as I can guarantee you will be tempted to spend hundreds on merchandise. Personally, I could not afford to buy an outfit from Disney Land, barely enough for the ears, so if you want to be a part of all the fun and dress up for less, then do that!

Be prepare to SPEND SPEND SPEND! I have never travelled to anywhere as expensive as Disney Land Paris – even for a small bottle of diet coke I was surprised.
