What a month this is going to be!!!

I apologise for not posting weekly like I said I would.

I am writing this post primarily to tell you about all the wonderful things I have been up to, and all the things that I am looking forward to.

What you’ve missed?

You may or may not know, but I have finished my second year of university. I am so happy to be announcing this as it has been a big struggle for me, especially achieving the grades that I have been pushing for. I have finished first and the second year scrapping a 2:1 so I am proud of myself. I just keep saying to myself – It’s just one more year, and it will all be worth it! I will be doing a little Instagram poll soon as I want to create a YouTube video answering all of your questions about uni, adult life, and any questions you may have. So, comment a question or direct message me personally and I will add it to the list for you.

I have also been photographing a lot more. I managed to be the leading photographer of a wedding, as well as a few uni events – including summer ball 2019 with the special guest SIGALA. These past few months have been incredible. I have learnt so much and I think I have found a photography specialism which I would like to develop further. I absolutely love creating unique photo albums for all clients to treasure for eternity.

Recently, you would have seen, probably definitely you have seen if you follow me on social media or keep up with my blog posts. I wrote a post about creating a new YouTube channel that I would actually like to keep up and running, especially alongside my blog to help show in detail some of the posts that I am writing about. I mainly create content based on ASMR, lifestyle, and travel. Again, if you have any suggestion, please let me know.

What’s to come?

So, here’s to the best part… WHAT I AM LOOKING FORWARD TOOOO!!

This month is going to be filled with a lot of happiness. I am hoping to start a new job that is the same as what I am doing now, although it is higher up in the industry which will be great for my CV. I have been really focusing on things that I can do for experience. I have one year left at uni and I am so indecisive about what I want to do after.

I have been considering going travelling next June for around 2-3 months, if not longer. I have been thinking about going travelling for some time now. And, I am at the point in my life where I am worried that if I don’t do it now, then I probably won’t do it ever. I don’t want to regret not going as it is something I have always wanted to do. Of course, I would be able to go on holidays, but there is something about travelling solidly that I want to do. On my list so far, I have decided to go to Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Sydney, Melbourne, and New Zealand. I am sure the list will definitely get longer, but that is it for now. If you have any suggestions or advice on anything at all about travelling, please please let me know as I will appreciate it greatly.

I will also be going on holiday at the end of this month to BARCELONA. I am extremely excited – to the point where I am thinking about packing my case already. I will be going there for 5 days with a group of friends. It is actually the same group of friends from when I went to Budapest last year. We have so much planned, and of course, I have planned and thought out the whole thing AGAIN! I just want this holiday to be perfect, and I want everyone to have a great time. I think I am going to be vlogging my time away. Although, I am not sure how I am going to do it. I don’t know if I want to do daily vlogs or to just do a new vlog every other day or so. I suppose it will be down to how much footage I actually manage to film.

And lastly, I have a few brands who I will be working with this month. I do want to keep it a surprise, but I thought I would give you the warning. These won’t be revealed for a few weeks yet, as things are still being discussed. I am very excited to be working alongside these businesses and I feel happy to have accepted their products to review for you. As I have said before, I will only work with the brands who I trust and support, and if I haven’t used them before, then I will give an honest review.

That’s all for today. This post is just a casual one to let you know about what is going on in the life of Bryoni. But yeah, if you have any advice or suggestions for anything that I have spoken about, then please please please drop me a comment.

Thank you.

I have something amazing to share with you and I think you are all going to love it. I have been getting messages recently from a few of you asking for a make-up routine, more specifically the make-up routine that I am using on a daily basis.

I have decided to create a video, primarily to complement the process so you can see a step-by-step guide of what I am doing. I have also included the Q&A polls from my Instagram and Twitter, so if you asked a question then it will be answered in the video. In addition, I have added in some FUN FACTS, along with a little chat. All of the products I have used can be found in the video itself, plus I will tag them below and they will also be tagged in the description box of the video too.

What products have I used?

  1. Moisturiser
  2. Foundation
  3. Contour set
  4. Eye-brow kit
  5. Setting Spray
  6. Face Mist
  7. Mascara

This is a very easy, simple, and fresh make-up look which I wear a majority of the time. I am not the best at make-up, so this works wonders for me. I prefer having my make-up quite subtle, and this feels amazing on the skin as it isn’t too heavy. This is definitely a look that I will be wearing for many times to come or a look that I will use as a basis for all looks.

Check out the video and let me know what you think in the comments:

Thank you so so much for checking out this blog post and I hope that you enjoyed the little video I have created for you. If you would like me to do any particular blog post/youtube video, please comment them below and I will add it to my list.

Pinterest Inspired: Pumpkin Decorating.

What a perfect way to celebrate Halloween by being creative with all those pumpkins that I purchased a few days ago. I bought a lot of pumpkins without really knowing what to do with them…LOL. I decided to have a little look online at some easy DIY decorating ideas. I saw so many on Pinterest that I just LOVED, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to recreate. Instead, I decided to put into a Pinterest board all the ideas that I liked so you can have a look too.

There are so many great designs of how you can decorate your pumpkin which of course are spoooooooky and totally relatable for Halloween. Although, I don’t think I am creative enough to make such beautiful designs as all of these. I have included a lot of ideas and designs of what you could do, including carving so that you can have a good practice too.

Let’s see how creative I was…

If I am completely honest, I am not overly happy with the outcome, but I did give it a good shot. I wanted to be creative as possible by painting and getting messy which I sure did get. These are just my interpretations from using the ideas from Pinterest. If you have done any pumpkin decorating please comment below and give me a link so I can see yours. If you have some spare pumpkins lying around and you’re in the mood to decorate then I highly recommend. JUST HAVE FUN!

P.S. if you are going to use paint I would allow yourself some time as my ones took ages to dry which meant that I had to wait to take photos as well as paint/draw over them to give them detail.

University: Essential Stationery & Accessories.

Are you a university student looking for tips on how to survive your lectures and revision sessions? Then, you have arrived at the right place. I have just finished my first week back at university (second-year) and I thought that it would be a great idea to share with you the most important things you need for university. This is an honest post of everything that I use to help me focus, study and to excel in all my modules. Of course, it does depend on your degree and what is required of you. I am currently studying Education Studies and Drama. So, without further ado… let’s move on!

  • Pens – You are probably thinking, well, of course you need pens, but you would be surprised at the number of times I forgot to bring one to my lectures last year. I would suggest buying 3 different colour pens or a pen that allows you to write with a different colour, such as; black, blue and red. These are very useful especially for jotting down different topics or information needed for different things. I often write quotes in blue, lecture notes in black and references in red. This makes it very easy to identify which information is what and is perfect for essay writing. If you are like me and have a whole pencil case full of pens, colouring pencils and wacky stationery then you are well and truly sorted.
  • Highlighters – 100% ARE A MUST! You WILL be given readings to do and most of the time, you are required to print them out and make notes. Highlighters make is easy to select text and also to categorise the text into sections if it is slightly random. Most of my essays last year were based off a piece of text and using highlighters really helped me to understand them by breaking them down.
  • Notebook or Laptop/Tablet – You WILL always need something to take notes on. It just depends on what you prefer. Some people like to take their laptops to be able to download the lecture notes, so that they can add their additional notes next to it. However, some people like to write the KEY information down in their notebooks and then look back at the lecture notes afterwards. This really depends on how you learn best and what works well for you. I suggest that you try a couple of methods to see what you find beneficial. Personally, I prefer writing down useful information as well as saving the lecturers power-point on my tablet. It is a good way to follow what is being said in the lecture and perfect for those learners who understand by noting it down multiple times. I do this for every module I take and so far I am doing reasonably well.

Useful Tools For Revision

  • Sticky Notes – These are AMAZING!!!! I often use these to save pages in books, as well as adding little notes of text on them, especially if it is a random thought or a piece of additional information. You can get these really cheap and are great for revision. I sometimes use these to map out an essay. I would write on each one the different topics followed by a few keywords, quotes or information I don’t want to miss out.
  • Revision/Cue Cards – These are useful, but not really essential. I only used these twice last year. These are perfect if you are revising for an exam as you can write a heading with a Q&A and ask someone to help you revise. As well as this, you could use them for presentations. I used a couple for a power point presentation that I had to do. I didn’t want to write all the text on the slide as that isn’t fun or great to look at from an audience’s perspective. I used them as a prompt. I wrote a few words on the card to ensure that I mentioned everything that I had to include. If you get nervous or are very forgetful, these are honestly YOUR BEST FRIEND! It makes it easier for you to remember what you want to talk about as well as ensuring you are looking at your audience giving them eye contact. You don’t want to just read off your presentations.
  • Wipe Board – Literally the best thing ever. I use this to write on my weekly schedule as well as use it to brainstorm ideas for when I am writing an essay.

These are just some of my essentials for university and I love them all so much. You can get each of these very cheap and most places offers a student discount. I do highly recommend taking plenty of food and water with you to your lectures. All of my lectures are 3 hours long which is why I advise you to do this. You are allowed to drink and eat throughout as long as you are quiet. You will, of course, have a break at some point during your lecture and I normally use this time to eat as much as I can LOL. I hope you enjoyed this little post. If you liked it please give it a like and comment your thoughts below. If you would like to see more posts like this then please let me know!

5 Reasons Why I Can’t Wait For Autumn.

AUTUMN HAS BEGUN! Well, I don’t actually know the official date, but I’ve decided that now is the perfect time to launch the autumn season on my blog. I mean let’s be honest the weather is a little confused right now…or should I say a little bit under the weather LOL. Today was the first day where it truly felt like autumn. Autumn is my favourite season of the year which is why I thought I’d share a couple of reasons as to why I’m completely obsessed with it. GOODBYE SUMMER, HELLO AUTUMN…

The fashion intended for the autumn season is very warm and soothing. The colours I generally wear are: red, green, orange, brown, grey and black. These are the basic colours that are associated with autumn. I plan on wearing baggy trousers, skirts and oversized sweats this autumn as I want to be very cosy, feeling comfortable in what I am wearing. I love everything about the autumn fashion as it means I can layer up by adding high neck tees, shirts, sweats or tights. I enjoy styling my clothes, so this is absolutely perfect for me.

Blog Content

I am very excited to be spicing my blog posts up slightly by writing about relevant topics within the season we are in. I have planned out so many autumnal posts that I am looking forward to sharing with you. Autumn brings out my motivation as it’s a season which interests me most. I am looking forward to writing about fall, pumpkin picking, Halloween and the days leading to winter.

My Bedroom

For most of you, this would probably be referred to as ‘My Home’. Unfortunately, I am living in a shared flat meaning I can only really decorate my bedroom and a couple of areas which I am entitled to. I am looking forward to purchasing a few autumnal decorations to get me in the autumn spirit. This year, I will be buying a few sets of fairy lights, scented candles (vanilla, cinnamon, ginger or pumpkin), house plants and orange bedding that matches the theme of the bedroom. I want to create an autumnal atmosphere when I enter my bedroom. I can already imagine what it’s going to look like and I CAN’T WAIT!!!!

Autumn is the perfect time to take adventures. The crisp mornings with orange leaves falling is just the most beautiful sight. It’s the best time to go out on long walks as it has the best kind of atmosphere which makes you appreciate the world in which we live in. I love going to new places and photographing every moment of my adventure. I am very lucky to be living in such a beautiful city and I am going to make the most of it.

Of course, this was going to be a part of my five reasons why I love autumn. I am very much looking forward to all the autumnal food and drinks that come out at this time of year. Starbucks is my favourite place to go to as they always serve the best hot drinks that get me into the autumnal spirit. My favourite drink to get is a Pumpkin Spice Latte with a delicious gingerbread man. This is definitely my go-to autumn picks as they honestly taste BEAUTIFUL… It’s like as if you are consuming autumn!

These are just some of my favourite reasons why I am looking forward to autumn. I am sure you will hear about these in great detail very very soon. Are you looking forward to autumn?
