What a month this is going to be!!!

I apologise for not posting weekly like I said I would.

I am writing this post primarily to tell you about all the wonderful things I have been up to, and all the things that I am looking forward to.

What you’ve missed?

You may or may not know, but I have finished my second year of university. I am so happy to be announcing this as it has been a big struggle for me, especially achieving the grades that I have been pushing for. I have finished first and the second year scrapping a 2:1 so I am proud of myself. I just keep saying to myself – It’s just one more year, and it will all be worth it! I will be doing a little Instagram poll soon as I want to create a YouTube video answering all of your questions about uni, adult life, and any questions you may have. So, comment a question or direct message me personally and I will add it to the list for you.

I have also been photographing a lot more. I managed to be the leading photographer of a wedding, as well as a few uni events – including summer ball 2019 with the special guest SIGALA. These past few months have been incredible. I have learnt so much and I think I have found a photography specialism which I would like to develop further. I absolutely love creating unique photo albums for all clients to treasure for eternity.

Recently, you would have seen, probably definitely you have seen if you follow me on social media or keep up with my blog posts. I wrote a post about creating a new YouTube channel that I would actually like to keep up and running, especially alongside my blog to help show in detail some of the posts that I am writing about. I mainly create content based on ASMR, lifestyle, and travel. Again, if you have any suggestion, please let me know.

What’s to come?

So, here’s to the best part… WHAT I AM LOOKING FORWARD TOOOO!!

This month is going to be filled with a lot of happiness. I am hoping to start a new job that is the same as what I am doing now, although it is higher up in the industry which will be great for my CV. I have been really focusing on things that I can do for experience. I have one year left at uni and I am so indecisive about what I want to do after.

I have been considering going travelling next June for around 2-3 months, if not longer. I have been thinking about going travelling for some time now. And, I am at the point in my life where I am worried that if I don’t do it now, then I probably won’t do it ever. I don’t want to regret not going as it is something I have always wanted to do. Of course, I would be able to go on holidays, but there is something about travelling solidly that I want to do. On my list so far, I have decided to go to Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, Sydney, Melbourne, and New Zealand. I am sure the list will definitely get longer, but that is it for now. If you have any suggestions or advice on anything at all about travelling, please please let me know as I will appreciate it greatly.

I will also be going on holiday at the end of this month to BARCELONA. I am extremely excited – to the point where I am thinking about packing my case already. I will be going there for 5 days with a group of friends. It is actually the same group of friends from when I went to Budapest last year. We have so much planned, and of course, I have planned and thought out the whole thing AGAIN! I just want this holiday to be perfect, and I want everyone to have a great time. I think I am going to be vlogging my time away. Although, I am not sure how I am going to do it. I don’t know if I want to do daily vlogs or to just do a new vlog every other day or so. I suppose it will be down to how much footage I actually manage to film.

And lastly, I have a few brands who I will be working with this month. I do want to keep it a surprise, but I thought I would give you the warning. These won’t be revealed for a few weeks yet, as things are still being discussed. I am very excited to be working alongside these businesses and I feel happy to have accepted their products to review for you. As I have said before, I will only work with the brands who I trust and support, and if I haven’t used them before, then I will give an honest review.

That’s all for today. This post is just a casual one to let you know about what is going on in the life of Bryoni. But yeah, if you have any advice or suggestions for anything that I have spoken about, then please please please drop me a comment.

Thank you.

MY SUMMER EVERYDAY MAKE-UP ROUTINE.

I have something amazing to share with you and I think you are all going to love it. I have been getting messages recently from a few of you asking for a make-up routine, more specifically the make-up routine that I am using on a daily basis.

I have decided to create a video, primarily to complement the process so you can see a step-by-step guide of what I am doing. I have also included the Q&A polls from my Instagram and Twitter, so if you asked a question then it will be answered in the video. In addition, I have added in some FUN FACTS, along with a little chat. All of the products I have used can be found in the video itself, plus I will tag them below and they will also be tagged in the description box of the video too.

What products have I used?

  1. Moisturiser
  2. Foundation
  3. Contour set
  4. Eye-brow kit
  5. Setting Spray
  6. Face Mist
  7. Mascara

This is a very easy, simple, and fresh make-up look which I wear a majority of the time. I am not the best at make-up, so this works wonders for me. I prefer having my make-up quite subtle, and this feels amazing on the skin as it isn’t too heavy. This is definitely a look that I will be wearing for many times to come or a look that I will use as a basis for all looks.

Check out the video and let me know what you think in the comments:

Thank you so so much for checking out this blog post and I hope that you enjoyed the little video I have created for you. If you would like me to do any particular blog post/youtube video, please comment them below and I will add it to my list.

I’ve Created A YouTube Channel…

It’s done.

IMG_2721-2

I have only gone and created an actual YouTube channel (Bryoni Burns) with a design I am obsessed with. I have been thinking about YouTubing for a while now, especially after taking a year out with a joint channel with my friend. I have finally got the courage to start making my own videos and sharing them with the rest of the world.

The main reason why I decided to create a YouTube channel is to provide a detailed account to support the posts that I publish on my blog. I have realized that by creating a post based on traveling, beauty, and fashion, that it would be good to also film a video to give you more based on a particular subject. You can expect to see videos based on reviews, fashion, beauty, travel, ASMR, and of course VLOGS!!!

I am so excited to have created a new YouTube channel, and I have lots planned for the upcoming months. I have started off by creating a short introductory video which I think was a complete failure, but it is a NEW YOUTUBER TAG, so you can get to know me. I haven’t answered all of the questions, just the ones that I thought were relevant. I am apologizing now if the video is a little awkward, it was my first one, so I was a bit scared LOL.

Here is my first ever YouTube video (on this channel):

6 Things To Do On Long Train Journeys (1-Hour Plus) For Bloggers Without Wifi.

There’s nothing worse than planning an exciting trip, going somewhere new, or even traveling home (if you’re a student like me). I thought of doing this post when I was traveling to London last Saturday to go on a cruise and visit The Harry Potter Studio Tour (click here to view) and I was surprised at how quick the journey was considering it was almost 3 hours!

There are so many things that you can do on your journey, whether if you’re alone or have company. I would usually say, just do the things that make you happy and what you’re interested in. The things I am about to list are my top favorite, most efficient things to do that allows me to enjoy a journey, whilst getting stuff done.

1. Prepare a Meal

One of the things that I always do prior traveling is make up a lunch type of meal, even if I am traveling at night. I would usually make a sandwich or pasta with a piece of fruit, chocolate, crisps, and a bottle of water (or two). These are just my favorite types of food, especially when I need something quick, cheap, and efficient. I am definitely a bit of a snacker…I do love a snack, so I pack a lot. You could go to a local shop to grab a few things too, but I wouldn’t get food at the station or on the train as you’ll be paying triple the price.

2. Download Music or Podcasts

I absolutely love popping my headphones in to either listen to music or a podcast. I definitely recommend downloading Spotify as it is a reasonable monthly subscription that allows you to download playlists, or you can create your own, as well as download podcasts or some YouTube videos such as, Gibi ASMR which is my go-to. I always manage to find something new as they are updated regularly.

3. WRITE. WRITE. WRITE.

This is usually an opportunity for me to be the most productive. I always find that traveling allows my brain to think about what means the most to me, which is traveling and blogging. I normally switch off by not thinking about work or uni work and a majority of the time, I am thinking of ideas and begin to write future blog posts. For this, I normally take with me a little notebook or I write it on the app: One Note, but that depends on the battery on my phone. I like to keep organized, especially with all my notes in one place. I was sitting on the train, thinking of what else to do when I thought about doing this post.

4. Have a photo shoot

Everyone loves a little photo shoot, well if you’re into blogging, social media, or just love a good photo. Of course, I was going to have a little photo shoot, primarily to take photos for this post, but also because I wanted to include a range of different photos onto my Instagram. I really enjoyed this train photo shoot, although I did have to be careful to not get anyone in the background.

5. Editing

Being a freelance photographer and travel blogger, I have a lot of editing to do. I usually have at least 2 photography shoots to edit a week, plus personal photographs that I want edited either for social media or my blog. I love using the time traveling to get the work done because then it means that I do not have to do it in my other spare time. I find this is the most efficient way to get it all done. To edit my photographs I use Lightroom CC on PC and on mobile.

6. Play a Game

There are soooooo many PC and mobile games that you can play completely free of charge and without the need for Wifi. My favorite games are Candy Crush, Logos Quiz, and Words with Friends. You could download a range of games prior to your journey, and then you can play them for the first time which will keep you very busy. Alternatively, you could bring a deck of cards and play with the people around you. I love playing card games with my friends. It is a great way to make the journey and time fly by.

What is your favorite thing to do whilst on the train or long journey?

HP Sprocket Plus Printer (White) Review + Printing Guide.

For a couple of months now, I have had my eyes on this beautiful little gadget, the HP Sprocket Plus Printer. I have seen a few YouTubers, such as Zoe Sugg and Mark Ferris advertise this on their channels and if I am going, to be honest, it looked pretty darn amazing. As you can imagine, for a photographer, as soon I saw it, I just wanted it!

I love being able to print out my photographs and display them around my room to remind me of all the perfect shots I’ve captured, as well as all the amazing adventures I’ve been on. Fortunately, I actually received the HP Sprocket Plus (White) as a gift, from Kevin’s parents for Christmas. I was so happy to have received this as I honestly loved it from the moment I saw it and was saving up to purchase it myself. I do actually own an instant Polaroid camera, although it doesn’t save the photos and the quality isn’t great. So, this was just perfect.

I have decided to review the HP Sprocket Plus (White) on my blog as I think it’s important to read a range of reviews about whether to make a purchase like this or not. I am going to be completely honest and share with you my exact thoughts about this, including the printing process and the quality etc,.

Here’s what HP has to say about it:

  • 30% larger than the standard sprocket
  • Use the HP sprocket app to quickly print your favourite photos via Bluetooth
  • Filters, borders, emojis and more are available to edit your photos
  • No ink cartridges required – just the paper

(HP Development Company, 2019)

How does it work?

  1. Download the HP sprocket app from your smartphone app store
  2. Complete the required steps –> My Sprocket –> Sprocket Plus
  3. Follow the steps to turn on, load paper and connect using Bluetooth
  4. YOUR DEVICES ARE PAIRED!!! Time to start printing

How to use the HP Sprocket Printing app?

  1. Choose a photograph that you would like to print
  2. select the amount of copies (i.e. 01 or 02)
  3. Click the middle button underneath with the printer emoji

As soon as you have pressed that little printer button with the green dot your photograph will transfer to the sprocket and begin to print. Only press the button once and wait for the screen to change to the white printing section. Sometimes it can take some time to send over, and if you press the button twice, you will get two photographs printing.

How to add filters, borders and emojis?

  1. Choose a photograph that you would like to print
  2. Click the pen on the top right corner
  3. Then, play around with the different options along the button (i.e. filters, borders, emojis, cropping and many more)
  4. When you’re happy with your photograph, click on the tick in the top right corner
  5. Select the amount of copies (i.e. 01 or 02)
  6. Click the middle button underneath with the printer emoji

IMG_0622 IMG_0636

I absolutely LOVE this little gadget…I THINK IT IS PERFECT! This is incredible, not just for someone like me whos interested in photography, but for anyone who loves to treasure their memories. It is very easy to set-up, as well as editing and printing. I think the quality is amazing, especially for a small version coming out. It is really difficult to make the photographs being printed in good quality because that will always go fuzzy, as I am taking a photo of it. But, you can still see how incredible they look.

I am looking forward to print many more photographs, as well as putting them around my brand new flat in the next few weeks. If you would like to see how I organise and place these photographs around my home, please comment and I will create a post based on that.

I hope you found this post useful. Do you have the HP Sprocket Plus?
