The Dungaree Dress.

For me, the key thing about fashion is that it has to be comfortable and that is what I live for. No matter what season we are in, I love feeling comfortable with what I am wearing. We all have our own unique fashion styles which makes us trendy in our own way. I am not the type of person who would wear a very summery dress, in terms of like a colourful flowery dress; that just isn’t me. I would rather wear something quite fitted and different that I can spice up every time I wear it.

So, today I thought I’d show you one of my most valued piece of summer clothing which I have been loving so much. I’ve definitely gotten my fair share out of it, as I wear it as much as I can. I think with a denim summer dress like this you can wear it all year round by adding or subtracting layers depending on the weather/season. It’s a really cute dress that I think is necessary for everyone’s wardrobe.

This denim dungaree dress is from New Look (obvs) and I absolutely love it. It fits very well and is so comfortable to move around in. I have recently been wearing this with all sorts of clothing underneath such as crop tops, long sleeved tops, hoodies and even Calvin Klein bras. They all keep it fresh and stylish which makes it look new every time I wear it. I am looking forward to wearing this during the cooler seasons with some extra layers and boots.

I have decided to pair this up with a fashionable baggy black mesh t-shirt from Boohoo. I really wanted this look to be highly inspired by street style fashion by adding some unusual textured clothing. I absolutely love this baggy t-shirt as it’s very comfortable and stretchy which is perfect for a warm summers day. Along with this, I have worn some matching black mesh pop socks with some black Vans. With some basic accessible clothing, you can really make something your own and very unique.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Isla who took all these beautiful photographs. I had a lot of fun and I highly recommend her to any future clients. What is your favourite summer item in your wardrobe?

Pinterest Inspired: White Aesthetic Study Desk Design.

This weekend has been extremely busy for me which is why I apologise deeply for not being as active on my blog and social media as I usually am. The reason for this is that I have recently moved apartment; from University halls to a shared flat with my partner and others. It has been very busy and pretty tiring, however, the move is finally done. As you can read from the title of this post I will be talking to you about how I have recreated my own study desk from looking at Pinterest for some inspiration.

Prior to moving apartments, I had to have a little look online at some brand new furniture for my study area. I am wanting everything to be matching in the bedroom, including my study space to make it look homely and very aesthetically pleasing. I am very anal about things like that. I managed to find a bed that I really liked and a wardrobe rail which were both shades of greys. From this, it did not take me long to realise that the colour scheme was going to be grey and white; with added colour here and there.

Creating my study area was something that I had imagined for a long time in my mind. I knew exactly how I wanted to look or at least the atmosphere I wanted it to give. To begin with, I went on Pinterest and created a board that was predominantly focusing on my study space and the bedroom to ensure that what I had purchased would look great alongside my study space. The main purpose of doing this was to get some inspiration as to what I wanted in my study area in order for me to love it and want to spend hours on end there. I do think that a study area that you enjoy and love will definitely make your experience there more valuable and worthwhile, especially when having long essays to write and for those times where you have to write blog posts inside. Here are some of the inspirational Pinterest images from my board that I wanted to recreate for my study area:

I have decided to take a little something from each of these images which would enhance my study area and create the ideal perfect study space for me. Here is my recreation of the Pinterest inspired white aesthetic desk design:

I absolutely love the set-up of my desk. I think it is beautiful and has natural lighting being brought in with a lovely view of Winchester town and cathedral. I feel absolutely blessed to have a beautiful view at my study desk and how perfect everything complements each other around me. It is definitely the best study area I could have hoped for. I have myself surrounded by everything that I like to ensure I have a great atmosphere around me. It is a little bit tricky to place things around me as I do not have shelves and unfortunately, I am not allowed to put any up. I have managed to create something simple with limited memes. I am not sure if it is completely finished yet, but I am so happy with what I have created so far.

My Spring Everyday Make-Up Routine.

YouTube Link:

WOW! I actually can’t believe I am doing one of these posts. It is something that I have wanted to share with you for some time now. It has been a highly requested blog post idea for a while now and I had no idea how to share it with you. I was very nervous to film my everyday make-up routine on my own as I was not used to it. I used to make YouTube with my best friend for 4 years, so this was a big jump. I thoroughly enjoyed filming this video, even if I did cut loads out LOL! For some reason on camera, it took me so long to do and I forgot how to do my make-up… oops! I really hope you enjoy the video and found it useful to see the products I use and I use them.

What Make-Up Products Did I Use?

  1. Moisturiser
  2. Foundation
  3. Concealer
  4. Powder
  5. Contour Pallet
  6. Highlighter
  7. Eye Shadow Pallet
  8. Eye Brow Pencil
  9. Eye Liner
  10. Eye Liner
  11. Mascara
  12. Lipstick
  13. Disney Make-Up Bag
  14. Make-Up Sponges
  15. Make-Up Brush Set

This is my go-to everyday make-up routine. It is very easy to do and roughly takes about 10-15 minutes to complete the finish look. This is definitely the look I go for on a daily basis and you can probably see this on my Instagram and Twitter posts. I absolutely love this look because I can wear it literally every day by changing the colour of the lipstick to suit the weather and my clothing. Today, I was wearing spring colours which is why I went for a light pink/nude shade which enhanced the colour of my natural lips anyway. I think this is a super easy make-up tutorial that doesn’t require too many techniques and still looks natural and pretty.

I hope you enjoyed the video to complement the images taken of the finished look. If any of you would like to give this look a try, I would absolutely love to see your recreations. I would feel honoured if you could contact me on my social media pages. I am always here if you would like to have a chat.

How To Get In The Holiday Spirit? || The Travel Tag

Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well. You’re probably surprised I have another blog post LOL. I made a promise that I will keep publishing again like I used to and I am going to make that happen. I have planned out so many interesting and fun blogs that I am looking forward to sharing with you in the next upcoming months. For those of you who don’t know, I have two mini holiday breaks coming up which is why I wanted to do this little holiday travel tag to help get me in the holiday spirit. I am going to Belfast on Thursday 26th July to Sunday 29th July and I am going to Budapest on Friday 3rd August to Monday 6th August. I am so happy to be going away. If you would like any specific travel posts regarding these places please comment below as I would love to do helpful travel posts. Now without further ado… let’s move straight on.

Which countries of the world have you already visited?

Unfortunately, I haven’t been to a lot of places as I didn’t begin going on holiday until I was 16 years old. The places I have been to in chronological order are Disney Land (Paris), Marsa Alam (Egypt), Manila (Philippines), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Belfast (Nothern Ireland) and a range of places in the United Kindom.

Which destination is the number one of your bucket list?

This is very easy for me to answer as I have always dreamed of going to Australia… more specifically Melbourne and/or Sydney.

What is your most ideal holiday?

My most ideal holiday would definitely be something very spontaneous. I would love to go travelling unexpectedly… perhaps with a camper van and just see where the roads take me. I would love to do this will my boyfriend Kevin. It would be the best thing ever. It would be lovely. As long as we have a great time, I don’t even mind where we go. It would just be nice to explore, have fun and take a wild adventure.

Which place did you think was so special that you would love to go back there sometime?

Definitely, Disney Land Paris as it was mine and Kevin’s first day together in a relationship. I would absolutely love to go back there on one of our anniversary’s because it would mean a lot to me. I have always been one of those traditional people who treasure special moments like that. It would be nice to see Paris too as we never explored the city. We just stayed at Disney Land for our college trip. In February 2019 it will be mine and Kevin’s 5th year anniversary… hint hint hint LOL. I would love to go for our 5th year together.

Did you have to travel for work sometime? If yes, where?

Sadly… no! My job does not require me to travel around the world. Although, it would be amazing to travel and work at the same time. You would be able to learn so much, not just from working, but culturally.

With who are you mostly going on holiday?

My boyfriend Kevin. Most of my holidays have been with Kevin. It was just Amsterdam that Kevin didn’t come to as it was my sister’s hen party weekend.

Would you rather go to an amusement park or zoo?

Personally, this is rather tricky for me. I don’t do either of them a lot and I have never thought about this question before. I think I would probably choose an amusement park as long as Kevin could come with me because we would have a lot of fun whilst spending a lot of money LOL.

Would you rather go on a sun or ski holiday?

A very easy question for me to answer… SKI!!!!! Of course, I would choose that. I have never been on a ski holiday. I would always choose something that I have not done or only done a little. I love trying new things and experimenting. I have been to a range of sunny holiday places, so I would definitely try a ski holiday if I had the chance too.

What holidays do you have planned this year?

I am soooooooo happy to share this with you. I have been so excited about going on holiday which is why I wanted to do a post like this to help get all the excitement out, as well as give you more information about myself. I only have two short city breaks this year for my holidays, although I do prefer going to places for a few days as I tend to miss home in 4 days anyway. Tomorrow, I will be travelling to Belfast in Northern Ireland for 3 days to visit my family over there and to do a little bit of sight-seeing with of course Kevin. My second short city break is happening on 3rd August until the 6th August and I am going to Budapest with Kevin and 3 other friends. I am looking forward to this a lot because we have planned out the whole holiday ensuring we make the most of the time in Budapest. WE WILL HAVE A LOT OF FUN!

I am going to nominate 5 people who I think should do this blog post:

  1.  Emma
  2. Isla
  3. Sophie
  4. Anne
  5. Life Travel Soul

Thank you so much for popping back onto my blog. It means so much to me. I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. Now… I challenge YOU to do this tag if you are going on holiday anytime soon. It is definitely the perfect way to get you in the holiday spirit. If you would like me to do any blog posts specific to Belfast or Budapest please let me know. I would love to give you any advise and share my experiences with you. I hope you have a great end to the week and an amazing weekend!

The Go-To Smart/Casual Outfit.

Oh hey! So, I recently have been doing a lot of presentational assignments for my university degree and thought what a great idea to share with you my go-to smart/casual outfit. I really like wearing this little combination as it looks very sophisticated, as well as casual at the same time. It is perfect for presentations as well as interviews because it looks smart but not over the top. It is very subtle and perfectly designed for anyone studying degrees or in the similar age group to me.

This outfit consists of very few basic items which can most likely be found in any retail store or at the bottom of your wardrobe. This whole outfit is from New Look!!! When it comes to shopping, I am a bit of a New Look nerd. A majority of everything I own is a New Look number. I just love their style as its right up my street and I find that their sizes work wonders on me.

I am very fond of this little outfit. I am looking forward to more presentational talks or assignments as I am able to put this together easily without stressing. I absolutely love wearing casual blazers as they are stylish and age appropriate. Although, an alternative to the outfit is perhaps some smart tailored trousers with either flat shoes or small boots. This can be re-arranged a number of ways. You should definitely try this out and let me know how you got on. I am intrigued what you would wear, especially if you don’t want to go over the top or too far out of your comfort zone. I definitely need to be more adventurous when picking out outfits for uni and interviews as I tend to wear the same clothes.
