5 Days In Barcelona.

I have had the most incredible 5 days in Barcelona (Monday to Friday). I thought it would be good for me to explain what we did in those 5 days and the amazing things that I captured. I went to Barcelona with a group of friends. There was 5 of us in total. If you’re planning on going to Barcelona and you would like some advice on anything at all, please just let me know and I will try my best to point you in the right direction.

We travelled to Barcelona by plane with Norwegian air on Monday 29th July at 06:50am. I would definitely recommend travelling to Barcelona around this time as it gives you the whole day to settle in and to explore bits of it without wasting a whole day travelling. We arrived in Barcelona at 09:50am (as the time difference is 1-hour in front). This post is going to be structured in a similar way to a diary. I will indicate what we did each day, and I will try to demonstrate this with a range of photographs.

The weather was absolutely beautiful, if not too beautiful on some days hitting 32 degrees. It is very important to keep loading on sun cream to ensure your skin does not burn and that it is hydrated throughout the day. I was lucky enough to receive two different types of sun cream from the Green People (a blog post will be published shortly) to keep my skin hydrated and lowered the risk of getting burnt. I would definitely use this brand again as I did not burn at all. The only part of my body that went slightly red was my shoulders purely because on the first day I forgot to use sun cream.

Day 1: Monday 29th July 2019

At 09:50am we arrived at Barcelona airport. There was a range of transport that we could have taken to get us to our apartment including, a taxi, metro, or a bus. As we had a lot of time ahead of us, we decided to get on the AEROBUS which was around 5 stops in total. We looked on Google Maps and what bus stop was the best one for us. I believe it was called Espanya or something like that. This bus ride took approximately 15 minutes. It was then only a small walk to our apartment. We stayed at Aparthotel BCN Monjuric (a blog post will be published shortly) and it was absolutely perfect. Once we had checked in around 12:00pm, we decided to take a little walk until we came across the Arena, which is simply just a shopping mall. We had a small bite to eat, done some shopping, and headed to the famous street La Rambla. We didn’t stay out too long, just went for a walk, had a couple of drinks, and got the metro back to the apartment as it was only two stops away.

Day 2: Tuesday 30th July 2019

This was one of my favourite days, but not so much everyone else’s. The original plan was to just spend the day at the beach. We all decided that it would be a good idea to take a walk to the beach and sightsee at the same time. The walk to the beach is around 1-hour. We decided to take a route that would stop us off at popular spots, including the massive fountain and Parc de Montjuic. The route was absolutely beautiful, and I am so glad that we did actually do this because if we had gone to the beach straight away, we would never have seen all of these incredible views. 4-hours later once we had to the beach, we went to McDonald’s and then sat on the beach for around an hour before we went back to the apartment and just played some games and quizzed with one another.

Day 3: Wednesday 31st July 2019

This day was quite a chilled day. We stayed in the apartment until around 1pm before we decided to go to La Rambla to go to a couple of shops, have some lunch, and go to The Big Fun Museum. I LOVED the museum so much. It was something that we needed to do as a group. We all LOVED the ball pit, probably a bit too much, but it was a lot of fun. Afterwards, we headed towards Hard Rock Café and found the Barcelona Cathedral. I thoroughly enjoyed this day as it wasn’t actually planned out. We just went for a casual stroll and came across things that we liked and just explored. After this, we just went back to the apartment and spent the evening in the rooftop pool.

Day 4: Thursday 1st August 2019

Thursday was again a very chilled day. Myself, Kevin, and Charlie took a morning stroll playing Pokémon Go and then we went to Sagrada Familia. This was definitely the highlight of the whole holiday. It was just absolutely stunning, and I think the photographs speak for themselves. After this, we had some lunch and went for a little stroll down La Rambla. We went back to the apartment a little early today around 4pm as we wanted to charge up our phones for the evening. We went back to Parc de Montjuic and watch a street dance performance followed by The Magic Fountain show which is just insane. If you ever go to Barcelona, you MUST see The Magic Fountain at night. It is an hour-long FREE show and is just so wonderful.

Day 5: Friday 2nd August 2019

This was the day to say goodbye to Barcelona. Our flight wasn’t until 5pm, so we spent half of the day in the apartment, went for lunch and took another walk down La Rambla until we had to catch the metro to the airport. We flew back to Gatwick with Vueling Air.

I hope you enjoyed this little post. I didn’t want to bombard you with too much information and realised that the photographs probably speak for themselves anyway.

I also vlogged the 5 days in Barcelona over on my YouTube channel, or just click the link down below:

If you have any questions or anything that you would like to know about my stay in Barcelona, just comment them down below or message me directly on my socials or email.

I have something amazing to share with you and I think you are all going to love it. I have been getting messages recently from a few of you asking for a make-up routine, more specifically the make-up routine that I am using on a daily basis.

I have decided to create a video, primarily to complement the process so you can see a step-by-step guide of what I am doing. I have also included the Q&A polls from my Instagram and Twitter, so if you asked a question then it will be answered in the video. In addition, I have added in some FUN FACTS, along with a little chat. All of the products I have used can be found in the video itself, plus I will tag them below and they will also be tagged in the description box of the video too.

What products have I used?

  1. Moisturiser
  2. Foundation
  3. Contour set
  4. Eye-brow kit
  5. Setting Spray
  6. Face Mist
  7. Mascara

This is a very easy, simple, and fresh make-up look which I wear a majority of the time. I am not the best at make-up, so this works wonders for me. I prefer having my make-up quite subtle, and this feels amazing on the skin as it isn’t too heavy. This is definitely a look that I will be wearing for many times to come or a look that I will use as a basis for all looks.

Check out the video and let me know what you think in the comments:

Thank you so so much for checking out this blog post and I hope that you enjoyed the little video I have created for you. If you would like me to do any particular blog post/youtube video, please comment them below and I will add it to my list.

Cordially Invited Book Review By Zoe Sugg

“A seasonal guide to hosting any occasion and making a memory out of every day” – Zoe Sugg

Thursday, October 4th 2018 was a very special day for Zoe Sugg (Zoella) and her fans as she bought out her own non-fictional book, Cordially Invited. Fortunately for myself, I was able to pre-order a signed copy from WHSmith which I was very pleased about. I have always been interested in Zoe and I think she is very inspirational. Ever since I saw her on YouTube a few years ago and met her in person, I have been a massive fan! When I picked up my copy, I started to give it a read straight away… I mean COME ON… I did have to wait for 4 months LOL. I managed to finish it in one evening. So, I thought it would be a good idea for me to give an honest opinion of what I think of Cordially Invited.

I think that Cordially Invited is a very beautiful and well-structured book which is written in the style of a blog post. It is absolutely stunning and has a very high-quality finish. It is a very casual book and is written like as if you were reading a blog post. I really get that vibe when I read it. I think it is probably because of the font, colour and all the interesting photographs. I think this is the idea she was going for, so that her readers, of all ages, are able to read it. The book consists of introductions to every season, to-do lists, activities, home decor ideas, events and recipes. I absolutely LOVE this!!! It is perfect for YouTubers, Bloggers or even Instagrammers as it gives lots of ideas as to what photos to take and ideas of what to do in the relevant months.

I didn’t really have any ideas as what to expect from this book. However, the layout and the writing style is a bit of a shock as I never expected it. IT’S 100% ZOE! When I was reading it, I even imagined how she would say it. It is so crazy, but it’s true. I am so proud of Zoe and this book as it has been a dream of hers and now that dream has come true, it’s just incredible! I love how honest it is… like it is very relatable to soooooooo many people. Books like these are my favourite to read. It is one of those things where you can bring it out every year to get some inspiration or even to make one of the delicious recipes.

I don’t want to share too much and ruin it for anyone who hasn’t read it yet. So, I am going to stop here. But I do 100% recommend giving it a little read. I am so happy that I purchased this book because it has actually given me so many ideas, not just with my blog, but also hosting little parties with family and friends. I really want to try the ‘Tomato & Ginger Soup With Toasties’ as it just sounds so delicious and very autumnal. My favourite season to read is definitely Autumn as it is very relatable and of course, because it is my favourite season. Although, my favourite page in the book is ‘Christmas’ (page 198) as little Nala is dressed as a gingerbread man. This is just soooooo cute and adorable. I just love it!

Have you read Cordially Invited yet? What do you think?

A Couple Of Thoughts On Transitional Dressing.

It’s that time of the year when the weather is finding it difficult what season it’s trying to be which makes it hard for us trying to plan our outfits to suit each day. Lately, the weather has been trying to get rid of the summer days by bringing us a lot of random showers and cooler days. I actually prefer the cooler days with a breeze as I’ve started to get a bit fed up of the hot weather. The transition from summer to autumn is my favourite time of year as you can still wear the same clothes, however,  you might just have to add a cardigan or jeans with a summer top or perhaps some tights with a skirt.

I cannot tell you enough how much I love this season as it means I get to wear more of my clothes and layer up with knitwear which I LOVE!!! As you may or may not know, I love wearing stripes, preferably blue and white with something that’s denim. In the summer I often wore my denim dungaree dress, but as we are heading into autumn I thought I would match my striped top with some oversized high waisted ripped denim jeans. If you follow me on Instagram, you will be aware that this is my signature look. I have decided to show a little appreciation to this by dedicating a whole post to my favourite look at the moment. So here goes…

Swanbourne Off Shoulder Top (Jack Wills) £15.00

I purchased this cute little off the shoulder crop top in the sale from Jack Wills. I really like the fit and how it stays in place when you move around. I got this in a size 6 which is why it’s slightly shorter by showing a little bit of my belly, however, I kind of like it like that as it shows off my figure. The stripes on this are soooooo pretty which adds to the cuteness. You can also purchase this in red and white.

High Waisted Denim Ripped Jeans (New Look) £27.99

A pair of highly recommended denim jeans that can be worn all year round. These high waisted jeans are perfect and definitely worth the price advertised. I have had my jeans for a few months now and I just think they are brilliant. You can’t go wrong with a pair of ripped jeans. It spices up your look instead of just having a simple straight down pair of jeans with no texture. These ones are actually cropped with a choppy ripped bottom which is why I have rolled mine up twice. I often do this on my clothes as I think it looks better. It is completely up to you how you’d like to wear yours.

By matching this cute striped crop top with a pair of high waisted ripped skinny jeans you are clearly making your fashion statement of the definite change between the summer and autumn seasons.

I love the transition between the summer and autumn seasons as the weather becomes a perfect temperature. This simple look can be recreated in many ways depending on your fashion styles. However, something similar to these items will be perfect for this time of year, especially with how indecisive the weather is at the moment.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it. What is your favourite fashion look to wear during these seasons?
