The Best Photo Spots In Barcelona: The Most Instagrammable Locations In Barcelona.

Going on holiday is the perfect reason to get some of those desirable travel/holiday Instagram photos. You know the kind of photos I mean. I recently just go back from Barcelona and of course, I just jumped on the opportunity to capture some ‘Instagram photos’ that I thought would look great on my feed. Just like any other city, most of the great spots are the ones popular by tourists.

This blog post will mainly consist of photographs, followed by the exact location so that you too can find these great spots. I think the photographs speak for themselves. I know everyone’s idea of ‘Instagrammable Spots’ is going to be different, but these are just mine. I’m sure you can capture your desire photographs here too.

Here are some of my favorite spots:

La Rambla

La Rambla is one of the most popular streets in central Barcelona. It is a tree-lined pedestrian street that is filled with many many shops, including retail, food, tattoo places, and basically everything!

The photographs of myself are taken at the end of La Rambla, closest to the beach. I found this road and fell in love with the composition of the trees. I just loved this spot and thought it would be perfect for my Instagram. The photograph of the Ice Cream is taken down the middle of La Rambla. I found an Ice Cream Shop, and just took the photo as soon as I stepped outside. I have to be quick of course before it melted.

Parc de Montjuic

Parc de Montjuic is a massive piece of land that is filled with green lands, including hills and lots of beautiful tourist spots. It took us around 3 hours to walk and down the whole park, although the views made it worth it.

I absolutely LOVE these trees. They are pretty much everywhere in Barcelona. As soon as I would see one, I would grab the camera and get a quick snap!

The Magic Fountain

The Magic Fountain was the highlight of my whole experience of going to Barcelona. The area around The Magic Fountain is just beautiful and it really is just mesmerizing. You would definitely get some great photographs at night during The Magic Fountain light show. Unfortunately, I did not take my camera with me, so I didn’t get any ‘Instagrammable’ photos of it at night.

Sagrada Familia

Sagrada Familia is a large unfinished Roman Catholic minor basilica in Barcelona. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions that offers an opportunity to view the inside. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get our hands-on tickets so, we just took some great photos from the outside. I know that the inside is just as beautiful and you can get some amazing photographs on the inside, so if you get the chance to, then please do that. You can see in the last photo how busy the place really is. Although is you follow the path round to the other side of the pond, you can get a really good spot with no one in the background.

Barcelona Cathedral

Barcelona Cathedral is located near to La Rambla and is the Gothic cathedral and the seat of the Archbishop of Barcelona. We found this just randomly on one of our walks to a museum and I am so glad we did because it is just absolutely stunning.

What Did I Think of Bateaux London?

From the very start to the very end, I felt like a very important person. The staff were ever so friendly and were professional at all times. It is definitely one of those dressier events, clearly, I didn’t know that. It was a great experience to have lunch whilst taking the tour of London. I thought it was absolutely beautiful and found myself wanting to sightsee rather than eat my lunch LOL.

The food was really nice, although there was not a vegetarian option available. They just took out the meat from the main course of what everyone else had. The starter was a choice of bread and butter, soup, and a couple other things. The food was not anything special, but I do think that you pay for the experience of the whole thing, rather than the food specifically. Sadly, the drinks were not included and the prices were extortionate – for two small Proseccos we paid £18.00. As the meals were spaced out over the 2-hour tour, I found myself not getting very full. I was still hungry by the time we got off. Personally, the food isn’t really worth it, so if you’re going to expect an amazing meal, then this isn’t the place. If you want an exceptional experience and an amazing tour of London, then you will LOVE IT!

Why I Love London & Why You Might Love It Too?

London is obviously one of the most popular cities in the U.K., To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the most popular city in the world. I absolutely love visiting London, even as a fellow citizen of the U.K. I think it is absolutely beautiful and so so different from the little town I am used to living in.

I have visited London a fair few times and there are still plenty of things that I want to do and see in London. So, I can imagine why it is so popular and why everyone loves it so much!

Let’s see what I love most about London, and perhaps some of these things will interest you too.

Culture and Tourists

Whenever I visit London, I am of course a tourist exploring the beautiful city, but what I love most is how diverse the culture is. It is amazing how so many people from around the world can meet in one city to enjoy exploring, traveling, meeting, and assisting one another with their travels. Meeting new people is what I love to do most, and to be honest, a great way to meet new people is to ask them to take a photo for you – trust me they will help you because everyone is so friendly!

London Underground

The London Underground is a public rapid transit system to assist individuals with their daily activities. Trains are available between 2-5 minutes which make it very convenient. Most of the trains are underground, although some appear to be overground. The underground has its origins in the Metropolitan Railway, the worlds first underground passenger railway (read more here).

I have used the underground every time I have visited London, even if the places I am going to are one stop away. The London Underground is definitely something that everyone has to have the experience of using. I love using them so much that I actually find it kind of fun.

The History

London is very well-known for its history including the Plague, Civil War and the stories of Jack the Ripper. There are many historical places to visit in London, not only the museums, but tourist attractions focused on specific events. In Addition, The Royal Family are of course very important to the U.K. and one of the prime examples of why Lonon is so popular.

London West End

As a Drama student, of course, this would be one of the reasons why I love London. London Wet End is absolutely mesmerizing. There are always at least 6 shows that are available to the public. I have watched a wide variety of shows at Piccadilly Circus including, Wicked and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I 100% recommend visiting a show in the theatres as they are incredible, even if you are not a huge fan, I am positive you will love it!

The Food

With plenty of street foods, fast foods, and restaurants you will definitely have a lot of options. There are many places to try new foods from all over the world. The street markets offer a wide variety of foods. I recommend trying a little bit of everything, so you get the full experience.

These are just some of the things that I love about London, what do you love most about London?

6 Things To Do On Long Train Journeys (1-Hour Plus) For Bloggers Without Wifi.

There’s nothing worse than planning an exciting trip, going somewhere new, or even traveling home (if you’re a student like me). I thought of doing this post when I was traveling to London last Saturday to go on a cruise and visit The Harry Potter Studio Tour (click here to view) and I was surprised at how quick the journey was considering it was almost 3 hours!

There are so many things that you can do on your journey, whether if you’re alone or have company. I would usually say, just do the things that make you happy and what you’re interested in. The things I am about to list are my top favorite, most efficient things to do that allows me to enjoy a journey, whilst getting stuff done.

1. Prepare a Meal

One of the things that I always do prior traveling is make up a lunch type of meal, even if I am traveling at night. I would usually make a sandwich or pasta with a piece of fruit, chocolate, crisps, and a bottle of water (or two). These are just my favorite types of food, especially when I need something quick, cheap, and efficient. I am definitely a bit of a snacker…I do love a snack, so I pack a lot. You could go to a local shop to grab a few things too, but I wouldn’t get food at the station or on the train as you’ll be paying triple the price.

2. Download Music or Podcasts

I absolutely love popping my headphones in to either listen to music or a podcast. I definitely recommend downloading Spotify as it is a reasonable monthly subscription that allows you to download playlists, or you can create your own, as well as download podcasts or some YouTube videos such as, Gibi ASMR which is my go-to. I always manage to find something new as they are updated regularly.

3. WRITE. WRITE. WRITE.

This is usually an opportunity for me to be the most productive. I always find that traveling allows my brain to think about what means the most to me, which is traveling and blogging. I normally switch off by not thinking about work or uni work and a majority of the time, I am thinking of ideas and begin to write future blog posts. For this, I normally take with me a little notebook or I write it on the app: One Note, but that depends on the battery on my phone. I like to keep organized, especially with all my notes in one place. I was sitting on the train, thinking of what else to do when I thought about doing this post.

4. Have a photo shoot

Everyone loves a little photo shoot, well if you’re into blogging, social media, or just love a good photo. Of course, I was going to have a little photo shoot, primarily to take photos for this post, but also because I wanted to include a range of different photos onto my Instagram. I really enjoyed this train photo shoot, although I did have to be careful to not get anyone in the background.

5. Editing

Being a freelance photographer and travel blogger, I have a lot of editing to do. I usually have at least 2 photography shoots to edit a week, plus personal photographs that I want edited either for social media or my blog. I love using the time traveling to get the work done because then it means that I do not have to do it in my other spare time. I find this is the most efficient way to get it all done. To edit my photographs I use Lightroom CC on PC and on mobile.

6. Play a Game

There are soooooo many PC and mobile games that you can play completely free of charge and without the need for Wifi. My favorite games are Candy Crush, Logos Quiz, and Words with Friends. You could download a range of games prior to your journey, and then you can play them for the first time which will keep you very busy. Alternatively, you could bring a deck of cards and play with the people around you. I love playing card games with my friends. It is a great way to make the journey and time fly by.

What is your favorite thing to do whilst on the train or long journey?

5 Reasons Why I Love To Travel and You Might Too.

“A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving”

img_0070As I am sure you are aware, I absolutely love travelling, exploring, and adventuring. I have a very busy lifetsyle, but always make sure I have time to do what I love most. I am an aspiring full-time traveller, who is determined to see the whole world. I have been to 6 countries and YES I am planning on travelling to a few more this year, and many more the following year. I want to be a traveller, not a tourist.

Here are the reasons of why I love to travel:

1. Meeting new people

Don’t be afraid to travel because of the unknown of meeting new people in places that you have never been to before. I absolutely love going to new places, primarily to meet new people. It is a great way to make new friends and to discuss about the place you have visited, perhaps for advice or even for help if you need it.

2. Trying new food

I am going to be completely honest, as I knew a few of you are probably thinking this, but considering I am fussy with food, as well as being a vegetarian, I love to try new foods in other countries. Whenever I go travelling, I aim to live my life how exactly the people in that culture would live their life on a daily basis. Obviously, I will not eat meat or eat the foods which I know I can’t have, but I will try my best to to live in that culture. When I go on holiday, I want it to be a whole new experience from start to finish.

3. Spontaneous Adventures

There is nothing I like better than taking a complete spontanous adventure. I like to just go with the flow and to see where I would end up. For me, being spontanous is doing something or going somewhere that is completely out of my comfort zone, or just something that I have not done before. If you haven’t figured out already, I love to just do things that are completely new to me. I don’t want to live my life doing the same thing every day, not that there is anything wrong with that, but I just want to do something different every day.

4. Transport

I didn’t actually think that this would be a reason, but it is. Every holiday that I have been on so far, there have been new types of ‘main’ public transport. By that, I mean they have transport that isn’t a car or train, like there is in the U.K. When I went to Amsterdam, the main type of public transport were bicycles. I kid you not there were more bicyles than people, which is probably why it’s named bike town. When I went to Budapest, the main type of public transport were trams or the metro as they called it. Most of them were above ground, although some of them were underground. I really enjoy trying out new public transport as I find it exciting and an adventure in itself.

5. Share your experiences

There is nothing better than travelling with friends, or someone you love. It is an incredible moment going travelling, trying something new, and having a great time. You can create some amazing memories and have probably one of the best times of your life. I usually create most of the best memories on holiday because anywhere you visit, it is so different to the U.K. which makes it inevitable.

Why do you love to travel?
